In this video I check if a spider can actually get dizzy by putting it on a turntable and spinning it to see if it can walk straight afterwords. Then I talk about what makes us dizzy and how a spider could maybe get dizzy.

Fun fact: one of spider man’s powers literally turned off his vestibular system, meaning he can’t get motion sick ever Edit: apparently its just modified so he can’t lose at poker or get thrown out of whack when the man stands horizontally

“Hobo spider” Hey, don’t be mean, he’s been in a lot of hard times recently
  • @Hei1Bao4
Getting dizzy is more complicated than that. We try to focus on a point while spinning. This makes our eyes bounce side to side. If we suddenly stop spinning our eyes are still trying to focus on a single point but still jumping back and forth. The spider didn't have a stationary background, and is more stable on 8 legs than we are on 2. To simulate our inner ear, a constant breeze that suddenly stops blowing on the spider might be more effective.
  • Poor fly just wanted a cameo, little did he know it would be his fate. Now his death will be seen by thousands.
