I am an optometric technician for an optometrist and them saying they’ve worn their contacts for a year straight is probably our worst nightmare to hear. you can get infection, a corneal abrasion, ulcers, and edema by wearing your contacts that long and not giving your eyes oxygen to breathe. That really worries me that they don’t take out their contacts more often especially the dailies 😅 if they do see this comment, there is a contact brand called air optix night and days that you can sleep in for up to a month . honestly, if they’re really going to not take care of their contacts at least that would be the better route

I'm an optometrist!! 🤓 Tara is so right its very high risk of infection 🤮 Terrible for your corneas. If you get an ulcer it can scar your cornea and depending on the location you could permanently loose vision. Ulcers are painful as hell.. you'd never do it again. Also if you're lucky and not getting an infection at minimum your getting corneal neovascularization which can also damage your cornea and cause scaring... so proud of you Tara for getting after the guys!! 🎉bravo sis.. take these guys shopping for some glasses! 👓 or just get LASIK and be done with it (I did ... it's the besttt) omg then later Zach says hes afraid of PINK EYE ☠️

I will say I think Tara is a wonderful addition to the podcast, and I hope she is able to stay on for a long time.
