CRF450R VS CRF450RX! Epic Farm Riding And Swamp Battles

for those who are interested, we have been riding these bikes in this way since new. the RX has just clocked over 140 running hours without being touched. still starts runs and operates like new. the R has done 60 hours. I am comprrssion and cylender leakage testing it every 10 hours and has not dropped a single psi from new. I take my hat off to all the designers, and not just on the hondas. These engines are a damn site tougher than the mid 00's crf engine and with some regular maintenance they will put up with the beat downs you give them. Yes, they are a competition engine and all the limiter will eventually catch up with us but that is what rebuilds are for..

Takes me back to when I used to race and run Enduros here in mid Wales. The bogs on the Eppynt ranges are immense fun, although some are so deep that once I had to haul a CRF 450 out of one with the rider over waist deep clinging on to it caked in the stuff and looking like a bog monster. Fortunately for him that day I was marshalling and riding a 6x6 Polaris due to having my young daughter for the weekend and not riding my XR400 due to it being bulletproof and like a tractor. The next year this chap came up to me in the pits of another race we(WTRA)were running and hugged me, I didn’t have a clue who he was until he told me it was him with the CRF and told me he reckoned I definitely saved his bike and most likely his life, as there was no way he was going to let go of it😂
