In this DIY project video we are going to convert our bicycle into an electric one. We are going to use a car alternator that we have converted to a permanent magnet brushless motor that we have converted in previous project video.
Have a look at this project video as we are going to have lots of fun building this bicycle.

I'm a 70 year old american and I love watching you guys!!!! You are so smart it baffles the mind. I used to race cars so I know what it takes to make projects like these-thanks for sharing and inspiring!
  • Never give up your creative fire but absolutely do not be afraid to learn proper technique from the Old pros... Seek out all the retired old men in your community who once did machining an electrical work their knowledge base is priceless, and many have libraries of reference material books that they used for their careers. Those libraries now sit gathering dust, and many of these Old pros will want to bestow those gems upon you.... They are especially priceless, because they now represent lost knowledge and they are usually out of print for several decades...

Dude! That's a 60mph pedal bike home built. Great job. I'm impressed I love projects like this.

Not gonna lie i thought this was a fake video, but when i did my research i found out that alternators, in fact, can be used as motors, Great work, i'm gonna do this when i get one on my hands
  • @AethericEchoes
I've avoided getting an electric bike for years because nobody made one with the power and range I wanted. You just built the one I've been looking for.
  • @cobrajeff96
Didn't know there was such a thing as an 800 amp alternator out there for a 12vdc system. Learn something new everyday.
  • Your instability is due to the battery placement being mostly rearward. It should be redistributed to be closer to the center of gravity for greater stability
  • @DaroffApFire
Making it gear driven is absolutely wild. If I were you I'd space the alternator back and put on a toothed belt to drive it. This was an awesome build!
  • Life should be as easy and simple like this guys, reusing everything that normally will end in our landfill is a great accomplish. Thank you.
  • great job guys specially making a brush-less motor. you should start a business to convert bicycle into electric cycles. Well done boys keep up.
  • You guys are real creative, the world need people like you.thinkers and innovators.much love from Tanzania

    I'm a 72 year old American, and I think it's a cool build.
  • @MrBilldo426
I love the fact that you went through the trouble of making your own battery pack. It’s a detail many would have not done.👍
  • I have enjoyed watching you fellows at work on this project, multiple skills and the the accent is entertaining, sounds like Roz ( the guy from Big Bang ). You'll do well 👌👍
