Important to note. The 3DS sold 10M units AFTER the Switch released. If the Switch does that it will sell 165M

Its insane how well the switch has sold. Remember folks, it hasnt even had a price cut after 7+ years. You could say that the switch lite is that price cut but that version of the console is the lowest selling out of the other versions. Most people are buying it at full price 300-350 bucks. Thats kind of wild.

The most ridiculous part to me is the Switch hasn't ever had an official price drop. If they want 10mil more sales they can snap their fingers and drop it to 170 or something.

My guy here didn’t even mention that the new legend of Zelda switch lite is going to sell more units to people who already have a switch, definitely helping them get closer to passing the PS2

Some people dismiss the Switch's sales number because "it's been in the market for so long" but: a) Isn't that in and of itself very impressive? The reason new consoles come out is because sales drop, it's absolutely crazy the Switch is STILL selling b) PS2 was also in the market for like a decade, people STILL bought it after PS3 came out and it was pretty much supported until the launch of the PS4

Sony did not actually corroborate Jim Ryan’s claim in their last Financial report still showing the PS2 as 155 million. Jim Ryan can lie to people on his last day as CEO but Sony can’t lie to their investors.
