A Celebration Of Life For Her MADjesty

Today would have been Billi’s 16th birthday.

Grief is a weird rollercoaster. When the 5 Stages of Grief are described, it sounds like a linear process. First this stage, then the next, then finally you reach the end. The reality is… not that. It’s a jumbled mess where you can experience all stages at once, skip stages, circle back around, and start all over again. Sometimes all in one day! Some days my grief lives in an easier to manage layer, where I can focus on the amazing life Billi and I shared. Other days I’m not sure how I’ll ever navigate my world without her. The smallest things trigger memories and you can get caught in a wave of despair.

I was surprised how much going back through photos and videos helped me. I assumed it would be too painful, but it’s been the opposite. Putting this tribute together was quite cathartic, and remembering everything we’ve done together has helped me process.

So in honor of Her Madjesty, Queen Billi, Squish, a celebration of a life lived to the fullest. Gone, but never forgotten. I love you 💜

I am really going to miss that little silver cat and her expressive use of "Mad." What an icon. Rest in peace, queen.
  • How many people are over here, like me, balling over a cat they never met?! Thank you for letting us be a part of the Joy Billi brought!
  • @CarnotJoule
Billy will be remembered. She is the reason my cat has his buttons.
  • I remember the first Billie video I watched. She kept pressing the buttons "water" "noise" and "outside" in different combinations until Kendra finally went to the window and confirmed that it was raining! I was absolutely amazed by her intelligence and perseverance! It was raining the other day and my most vocal cat kept meowing and going to the patio door until I followed him and acknowledged the rain. Without thinking I told him "Yes, water, noise, outside. It's raining." Thanks Kendra and Dad for sharing Her MADjesty with us. May she RIP. 😢

I can honestly say without a single doubt in my mind that Billi was the single most well looked after cat to ever have lived. She literally has everything, walks outside hyper stimulating meal times and play times and even learnt to communicate! Forever missed.

As a veterinary nurse, it brings me so much joy to see how well Billi was loved. Providing enrichment for our companion animals lets them live life to the fullest, and Billi's life was overflowing with love. I hope the knowledge that you provided so well for her during her life helps lessen the sting of her loss over time. And what a joy it is to have this channel full of memories to look back on! Rest easy, Billi. You were the best cat 🐾❤

Without Billi, my dog wouldn't be able to properly express his desire to eat everything at all times. The three of you have had a larger impact on families than you could ever imagine.
  • “Some angels don’t have wings; they have whiskers instead.” Rest in peace, mad button Billi.

It wasn't just the 'mad' button that made me laugh, it was her use of the imperative 'now' button. She had so much character. I've treated my cats differently since watching your videos; using much clearer & simpler language, more studying of body language to pick up their points of view, accepting that they also have the right to an opinion or a demand. So thank you Billie for your efforts to teach us how to communicate with cats.

Billi was a wonderful, smart, loving, expressive cat who inspired thousands, maybe millions of pet parents to give more stimulating lives to their pets with mental exercises. You are fantastic pet owners who helped Billi to change the world in a beautiful way.

It's devastating when these little furry critters leave our lives, but knowing that we made their lives so full of love and care and warmth should never be understated. Run free across the rainbow bridge, Billi!

She proved what all cat people know, that cats are incredibly smart, sensitive, and full of emotions that deserve respect and understanding. And she was a beautiful girl, and so very loved. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Billi was, is and always will be our Madjesty!

Oh Mom and Dad, grief is indeed a rollercoaster. Always remember Billi had the best life because of you. Lots of love and healing.

Thank you for sharing Billi with all of us. Thank you for showing us how smart cats are. And thank you for showing us all how to be good cat parents

"She will be remembered by every dog she ever terrified into submission..." -- not to mention Guppy, LOL! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • “I am in tears, while carrying you to your last resting place as much as I rejoiced when bringing you home with my own hands 15 years ago.” - said a Roman from ancient times. And thus, again, humanity collectively loves and collectively mourns. Thank you for helping us create space for Billi in our hearts.
  • @gamozzie
We will miss you Billi. Enjoy life over the rainbow bridge where you can stay outside as long as you like, have food whenever, and play with all the toys.
