  • ā€¦ā€¦.seems easier to just deal with the 3 second loading screen šŸ˜‚

Bethesda should just make the entire system exploitable, rather than having to open a menu and travel there

this was definitely inspired by Elite: Dangerous. "Supercruise" says it all...

This is what most players thought this game would be. Elite Dangerous with a Bethesda RPG signature. We got half and half šŸ˜‚ Hopefully Bethesda responds to the feedback and open this game up by revamping their vision. I know they can itā€™s just a matter of will they do it.

I think a re-entry animation similar to Destiny and transition to landing like it already has in Starfield would be nice loading screens.
  • I really don't know what I'm doing different, but I can can actually fly somewhere else with actually being in my ship it most cases. I can be in a cave and select the next mission, it shows the route and I hit jump or even land to instantly land there and be standing beside my ship. I can't complete about the Grav Drive and the landing time.

For some reason I can't figure out how to travel in a faster speed after installing the mod please help

Just about the only moment I enjoyed (pretty much speedrunning it to rinse out every disappointment at this point) was chucking sarah's wedding gift off the coastal cliffs right after she gave it to me, pick pocketing her mum during the ceremony, and later murdering her mum shortly after right there on the marriage beach within her eyesight. Sarah told me I'd been a very naughty gamer and she might have to be angry with me for a couple of days. Of course, I stood as usual completely silent and with a vacant stare, too busy seeing if I'd missed anything in her pockets. Unfortunately, sarah did survive her fall off the top of the hotel resort complex, but I'm not sure what I expected after she already brushed off her "fall" from the Burj Khalifa in "new atlantis" some hours earlier. Wondering if there is a mod to put her in orbit to live out her days.
  • I know many fantasy sci fi fans will appreciate this one, but Im pretty ok with the grounded approach of the vanilla game + starvival's ship module for fuel, batteries, maintenance etc. If anything, I guess I would appreciate a mod that added jumpgates like the ones in babylon 5 for any interestellar fast travels. Inside a system you would have to fly to the jumpgate, which would take time. If you wanted to wait until you got close to the jumpgate you'd have to sleep, like in hard sci fi such as the expanse, alien etc.
  • o7. I recognize a fellow Elite Dangerous Cmdr when I see one. Supercruise was a dead giveaway for me. šŸ˜‚Thx for the info. May give this a try.

With the Technology we have today Im really shocked that Bethesda could not do away with loading screens!!!! šŸ¤”šŸ¤¦ I hope in the future this is eliminated completely. šŸ’ÆšŸ‘¾

Every real CMDR has done a loop of shame.. o7

the main thing about starfield is that travel should cost you a couple minutes. because thats how you feel far away from home

(havent played, based on reviews) IMO the inspace part of the game should have been the backbone. The procedural terrains are cool, but cannot deliver the skyrim exploration experience. You could however map that 1-1 onto the inspace portion. Your inspace map can have the same few hundred handcrafted things to encounter with the same rough exploration game loop. The other thing SF needs is a decent procedural dungeon crawler mechanic. No repeated special locations. For sure, this cannot deliver skyrim style exploration, the inspace level delivers that, but procedural dungeon crawlers are still fun for casual games. Maybe some modder could whip one up from the base building mechanic?.. or maybe we just need modders to create a thousand handcrafted locations.

It's sad that all this was done in a few months when they couldn't even make it happen in years
  • @AthulMiju
The game would have been a 7 or 8/10 with space flight. Sad that BGS did'nt think that it was important.
