The paper titled “UltraPixel: Advancing Ultra-High-Resolution Image Synthesis to New Peaks” introduces UltraPixel, a novel architecture for generating ultra-high-resolution images (1K to 6K) using cascade diffusion models1. UltraPixel leverages semantics-rich representations of lower-resolution images to guide the generation of highly detailed high-resolution images, significantly reducing complexity and enhancing efficiency2. The model incorporates implicit neural representations for continuous upsampling and scale-aware normalization layers, sharing most parameters between low- and high-resolution processes34. UltraPixel achieves state-of-the-art performance, producing photo-realistic images with fewer training resources and demonstrating superior results compared to existing methods5. The paper also highlights the model’s efficiency in training and inference, making it a promising solution for high-quality image generation.

Added the nodes for this on Thursday and have been very impressed. I'm finding the backgrounds have extra detail and pop to them and it's nice not to have to upscale.
  • Great tool ... it takes a long time to render with my 3090 ti though
  • is there any upscaler works with potato and result still great?
  • @laylasmart
So where is this Ultrapixel and how can I download a portable version of it? his Github is a mess.
  • on a 4090 i can generate up to 5120x5120 and needs 23,5 GB VRAM -> amazing image quality
