  • Out of nowhere Youtube decided to recommend this to me, not knowing I was there in 1996 for that first battle. Who knew that this little weekend event would grow to include to include dozens of buildings and thousands of people. Congrats to the organisers for maintaining the energy from that first event. It was a blast back then and it looks like it still is!

Suggestion: make it last longer and longer until you create your own fantasy culture commune

Now I’m nerdy but always thought this stuff was a bit much… until I got older & realized how mentally refreshing it is to let go from reality for a bit & dive into a world of fantasy with likeminded others 🙏

Why didn't my high school guidance counselor tell me I could be a WHISKEY SATYR Great video. I loved it all but the Fae ceremony gave me the goosebumps.

This is one of those experiences that is so good you almost get PTSD from it cus nothing else will ever be this good ever again. Like your best experience at a summer camp as a kid you still think about 30 years later

I went this year and loved everything! Can not recommend it enough. If your watching this these are your people
  • Back in the day, say 40 years ago, my pals in SCA would look to enhance their armor kit by finding suitable sources of metal plates. Curiously enough, several local speed signs went missing. The quality and finish of armor and costuming has advanced beyond those early days - such that they rival or exceed movie props. Great video

This is one of the nicest advertisements I have watched. Why can't all youtube ads be this good.

I love that everyone is dressed and in character to some degree. With something like Galaxy's Edge at Disney, the theme and decor is amazing but crowds walking around in jean shorts & Mickey shirts just kinda destroys the magic for me.

ahhh thanks so much for highlighting the fae ceremony, my guild has such a fun time hosting it each year! also i legit gasped at the video of me shooting "archers picking off enemies" makes me so incredibly happy.

I have been a cosplayer for years (mostly casual) and have been attending cons for quite a while. I expected it to be like a fancy convention but i was really suprised by the complexity of this “world”. I should try it out someday :3.

I attend Bicolline for nearly 15 years and it's the best video covering the event. Ill say hi next summer!
  • This reminds me of what the Evermore Gardens tried to be, and it looks like Bicolline pulled it off flawlessly

I had retired from LARPing... this is something that could coax me to explore it again.
