Thanks for this, great to see Gary Mac again. I remember seeing him for the first time in 1990 when he was Leicester captain. It was Leeds’ last home game of the season and I was in the South Stand when he scored a free kick against us. Leeds won the match but Gary Mac was the best player on the pitch that day. I remember saying to my mate when we go back up we need him bossing our midfield. I couldn’t believe it when Wilko signed him that summer. Gary Mac was fantastic at Leeds could play almost anywhere, incredible silky skills and a dead ball specialist of the highest order. Him and Strach were definitely the best signings Wilko ever made. In fact Gary Mac and Eddie Gray are my favourite Leeds players of all time.

ha "Davie Cooper I only saw him for a couple of days" straight in the team, Cooper was a sensational talent for sure

Gary was the brain that taught Steven Gerrard and Mick Beale at Ibrox ....brilliant to see this ....his words of wisdom shine
-
What a pro Gary Mac was. His twilight years at Liverpool was no fluke. He'd been a good player for years before that
-
Andy Goran in goal.... the best ever RIP GOALIE

McCoist scored 8 goals for Sunderland. Maybe Sam was gettin a pie at the time.

Gary Mac was part of the best midfield quartet in the prem/old div 1 in the early 90s at Leeds. No wonder Leeds won the title with Gary Mac, Strachan, speed and batty. Also kudos to include Tony dorigo. Years ahead of his time.

Mo Johnston went from celtic to nantes then to rangers.

Gary Mac has always been a bit of a hero of mine. He arrived at Liverpool when I was just a kid and he was fantastic for us. Great listen and such a knowledge of the game. Guess we know where Stevie’s success at Rangers came from
