I love this format of 20 min videos about lesser known civilisations. Some of the best content YT has to offer atm.
  • @Alex_FRD
"The Nabateans will always be an example on how to forge beauty in the harshest of terrains, and how to prosper and flourish autonomously in a land of empires. And that is a legacy more fragrant than all the incense in the world." Damn, that's deep.

"And that is a legacy more fragrant than all the incense in the world". What a beautiful quote to end the video!

    The Spice must flow 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Check out "fall of civilizations " episode on the Nabatenans. Its fascinating.
  • Pre-Islamic Arab culture is not something that is discussed very often, thank you for this contribution. The Kingdom of Kinda, The Qedarites, The Ghassanids, The Lakhmids, & The Palmyrene Empire would all make great additions to your catalog. Kudos for the good work, & keep it up! Cheers!!!

"Spice must always flow" haha, a good reference to the Dune universe where the Fremen are based on these people.
  • It's always good to have more knowledge, learn about forgotten kingdoms in history with Kings and Generals, taking advantage of the theme about desert kingdoms, we hope for a video about the kingdom of Sheba or Axum.
  • @Vllili
Thank you for the video to show the ancient Arab civilization.. The world only sees that the Arabs have a civilization after Islam, not before it.. But there are many ancient Arab kingdoms and civilizations.
  • Nabatea was and will still be one of the greatest arab kingdoms of the pre-Islamic era, the people themselves are believed to be extinct but their legacy is still apparent in the pink city (Petra) as an arab and a Jordanian, watching you spreading the history of our old ancestors gives me chills, Arab kingdoms are underrated and unfortunately not well known so thank you for your effort
  • You should make an episode about the kingdoms of the Suebi and the Visigoths.
  • @daveharrison84
So, when Greeks went to war with Nabateans for the bitumen trade, was that history's first war for crude oil?
  • Thanks for these vids man, been watching for a few years and they've always been solid
  • @crazyviking24
Also, the Nabatean king Aretas IV (spelling)defeated Herod Antipas in a battle. Josephus mentioned the belief that Herod lost the battle due to his execution of John the Baptist.

Great vid K&G, obviously a different style but tough to top Fall of Civilizations masterpiece on the subject :)
  • @Ryzexus
Thanks kings and generals for this new knowledge god bless yall
  • @joshlesure3196
Really enjoyed learning about this civilization, and the city of Petra too. Another excellent example of why I remain subscribed!
  • Another underspoken part of history that I am always interested to learn, thank you!
