Pro-Palestinian Jewish demonstrators staged a protest inside the Capitol Hill's Cannon Building rotunda on July 23, ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to a joint meeting of Congress. This comes as US President Joe Biden, recovering from COVID-19, returned to Washington on Tuesday from his Delaware beach house. Biden is set to meet with Netanyahu at the White House on July 25, where they will discuss reaching a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza, as well as issues concerning Iran. This marks Biden's first meeting with a foreign leader since endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee. Additionally, Netanyahu is expected to meet with former US President Donald Trump on July 26.
