Hillsville VA Memorial Weekend Flea Market 2024

Published 2024-05-29
Me and my wife hit the flea market this weekend. It was a little disappointing the lack of vendors this year. I was able to find a few goodies. Starrett, Proto, Baker and Cincinnati tooling all came home with me. I hope you enjoy the walk around and seeing the event.

Gday Tom, I’d love to walk around a market like that, I just wish they were like that here, the toaster is really a piece of art and I bet it cooks the toast properly, thanks for the walk around mate, cheers
  • Good wander around . When you first saw that vice , it looked like a grinding vice from the base configuration . Looked like he had a few grinding wheels their as well . Cool toaster ! 👍

That's a wonderful way to spend a day Tom. Even better if you find a few bargains. Love the toaster. Take care. Cheers Nobby

I always like to see these fleemarket videos you make Tom. Too bad about the turn out. Nice tools. Love the toaster. When I was a kid we used one like that at the cottage. Very simple and cool.

Fun having a look round - thanks for sharing. $85 was way high for that indicator. You got some nice finds though. 👍 And amen on the throwaway culture. It’s criminal really.

Nice items and flea market Tom, thanks for sharing. When my Dad drove semi's back in the 60's they had a toaster like that in the driver's room to warm thier frozen hands from hooking up the trailer!

G'day Tom. I generally walk around with you on your Flea Market outings. As you said generally you find there are many vendors with lots of goodies. I think there is a slump generally around economic world which is affecting businesses, which will also affect events like flea markets. Thanks for your tour, maybe next one will be more fruitful. Ted
  • That Cole drill is quite rare. It goes along with the Cole farm vise and one other attachment I can't remember. I have a Cole vise mounted on my pump jack trailer. You got some good scores there Tom. Especially that vise!

Wow, that toaster. "They don't make them like they used to."
  • @bcbloc02
Best part about that toaster is you stick your fingers in it while its on you will remember not to do that again. LOL
