I didn't think I'd be back to TASing this soon but here we are. Totally Spies, a game based on the... divisive French animated show (which I have never seen).

This game does have a pre-existing TAS (   • [TAS] [Obsoleted] GBA Totally Spies! ...  ) but the thing which made me want to make a TAS of this game myself is that I noticed that the RTA WR (   • Totally Spies! speedrun - 26:39  ) was faster than the old TAS and that indicated to me that the game needed a new TAS and well, here is that new TAS. I had never even played this game before deciding to make this TAS so I had to familiarise myself with the game before getting into it.

This TAS beats the old TAS by around 4 and a half minutes and the RTA record by around 3 minutes and 50 seconds (this run is around a 22:48 with RTA timing). Some of that time save compared to the old TAS does come from using a more console accurate emulator but most of the time save comes from better optimisations and new strats/skips, some of which were already apart of the RTA run but there are also numerous completely new strats.

There is a lot to this run so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I explain the stuff going on in this run in my TAS runs submission (tasvideos.org/8949S) and I will gladly answer any additional questions you may have. I am very happy with this run. While it is of course possible that this could be improved, I am super satisfied with how this final run turned out. When I started, I never thought I'd cut the game below 23 minutes but here we are.

I don't have any plans for future TASes currently and I will go back to my usual content soon. Also, Sam’s the best girl. :)

    The audio ended up coming out a bit odd so I'd recommend you don't have the volume up too loud. For this upload, I replaced the song during the credits with the title screen theme as it slaps and it is a shame you wouldn't really get to hear it in this run otherwise. Assuming this does make its way to TASvideos, that version will most likely be unedited.
