Recipes I used (I'd recommend SKIPPING the wick, I cannot guarantee that it is food safe).
Makes 2 butter candles
THINGS YOU’LL NEED
Bread
Large round sourdough or French bread
Clarified butter candle
14 tablespoons salted butter
1 small garlic clove, sliced thinly
3” sprig of fresh rosemary
OR
Softened butter candle
12 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
¼ teaspoon grated garlic (from half a garlic clove)
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
Equipment
Paper cups with wax coating inside
100% cotton and beeswax candle wicks
Popsicle sticks with hole in the center
Strainer
Paper Coffee filter
Piping bag

This was one of the most interesting #viral #food recipes that I've ever tested! This is something that has been appearing all over my #tiktok for you page, and I've seen literally dozens of videos about it! Basically what you do is you make custom flavored butter and turn it into a candle! I would highly recommend making your own flavored butter for any occasion, but maybe skip the candle part. While it is cool to see, I cant guarantee that it is food safe. Remember that you are burning cotton/was directly INTO the butter which is definitely not the most healthy.

There are food safe candle wicks made of hemp and beeswax. (Beeswax IS food safe, by the way.)

I would just melt the butter then put it in a glass bowl in the center of the warmed bread. Or even use a seasoned olive oil to dip the bread in.

maybe the candles were supposed to be let to come to room temp before putting in the bread and lighting? That way they'd be soft and melt/burn better (like how you freeze tealites to make them burn longer, but the opposite)
