  • Fagan and Becker are to music what Joel and Ethan Coen are to movies … quirky perfectionists completely devoted to their craft, producers of brilliant new interpretations of their respective art forms, geniuses all four in every sense of the word. Becker’s interlude speech on stage when performing “Hey Nineteen” was worth the price of admission alone!
  • lucky enough to see Steely Dan in concert when Walter was still with us. Steve Winwood played too. A Knockout of a concert.

The production (I am not musically trained) of Steely Dans music was really exceptional. Listening on a high end sound system is entrancing.

I love walter becker's music as well as Steely Da but i'm not sure why my video keep showing Jon Lord from Deep purple.
  • @pretorious700
I think you got the wrong video, or the wrong audio. That's Deep Purple.
  • I suppose the moral of the story is that even famous, rich people have the same problems we all do and that they sometimes make some really bad decisions for themselves like some of us had. For those reason I really enjoy these types of documentaries and besides, I was a huge Steely Dan fan in the 70's when I was a teenager.
  • I thought this was Supposed to be about Steely Dan,Were you High When you put Everybody but Walter in this? This is Weird!

Just about EVERYONE I knew in college loved their music...especially my jazz oriented bass-playing housemate who thought AJA was the best album ever made.
  • @lyjaneeva
Aja was about as perfect an album as I ever heard. He was a genius. And I really liked Fagans voice and still do.
