Shimano Dura-ace 11speed rear derailleur with 11-36t cassette.

Published 2023-10-10
Today we look at fitting an 11speed shimano dura ace and 105 rear derailleur with an 11-36 cassette. They say it's not possible but it's totally achieveable. It may not be as precise as it would be with a smaller cassette but it's good enough for most people.

  • Durianrider is the reason shimano made the SS work with a 36. Direct quote from someone at Shimano USA.

Did you upgrade to the shore cranks because the seat post did not go far up enough? Mine came with a short seat post/cap. Whatever they call it. I’m having trouble raising it high enough for me to pedal comfortably.

What do you think I will encounter with this?..Trek Domane gen4 with Shimano 105 11 speed stock components to be switch to the ff: Dura-Ace 12 speed 50-34 crankset 9200, 11-34 Dura-ace cassette 12 speed 9200, Dura-Ace rear and front derailleur 9100, Dura-ace 12 speed chain. I have a back-up Dura-ace 11 speed 11-30 cassette but would prefer the 11-34.
  • Ihave this det up for about six month and have no probles at all Ieven change the chain ring for 53 34
