Actually, in Persona 5, when the All Out Attack shows the cutscene afterwards, it's always a kill, and the sparkles are actually supposed to be blood. It is a death no question. Also, I feel like you underestimate just how deadly real swords are. One slash from any one of those swords would cut clean through you... except for Shulk's Monado, which canonically cannot cut or pierce humans.

For those you didn’t know: Sora’s Final Smash is literally called Sealed the Keyhole which you never knew that he seals you away in the Door of Darkness that you’ll get swallowed whole by an endless of heartless that are the black creatures that monsters steals the peoples heart if you’re at 100% or higher you’re dead! Ridley’s Plasma Breath is guaranteed death because not only he sends you on Samus’s spaceship he asserted he blast you with laser plasma beam and you’re dead same thing like Sora.

The problem with these videos is that everyone who says they survive will look stupid at a certain point. Like even just Mario's Final Smash. Those are two balls of Fire, you know how putting your hand on a hot pan can cause severe burns, even if just for a bit, yea. These are two balls of fire that would if not instantly kill you, turn you into a burnt crisp, barely even a shred of a human.
