Last year, 29-year-old Caitlin Jensen was paralyzed after visiting a chiropractor. During her routine neck adjustment, her family says she suffered four ruptured arteries, a stroke and cardiac arrest. Jensen endured two months in the ICU followed by grueling rehab. Now, she is getting a tour of her brand-new Georgia home in her wheelchair. Jensen's mother says every day she's amazed by her daughter's fighting spirit and determination to walk again.

Thank you for reinforcing my fear of chiropractors

I used to see chiropractors. I thought it's the only way I would get relief. But after I started marathon training, I started seeing physical therapists and it not only fixed the pain I had before, but actually was addressing the cause of the pain – weak muscles in key places. Glad this woman has so much support.

This also happened to my cousin. The ‘’Best ‘’chiropractor in town popped my cousins neck and paralyzed him from the arm pits down….had to go straight to neurosurgery from the chiropractors office. Years of therapy and misery, eventually could walk again w a cane , but never the same. DO NOT go to a chiropractor!!!!!
  • The same exact situation happened to my cousin. She went to get a neck adjustment and then 15 minutes later collapsed and had to be rushed to the ER. We didnt think she was going to survive. After 2 months in the hospital and 2 years of intensive therapy she finally made a full recovery. It was a miracle. Her family is now suing the chiropractor.

thank you caitlin for sharing your story. i used to go to a chiropractor routinely after fracturing my vertebrae in a car accident. i won't be going again. i've heard many nightmare stories but this one did it for me. she definitely saved many others from a similar fate. i also have to mention that her family is absolutely wonderful.

I too was paralyzed after visiting a chiropractor. I was unable to walk for one year or so until I started doing physical therapy. Thanks to physical therapy, I'm able to walk somewhat normally. As my legal case lingers in the justice system, one day I hope I'll get justice. I'm glad to see that this young lady got financially compensated and recovering decently from her injuries.

The love from her family is gonna be huge in her recovery.

She is so incredibly strong. Can't imagine the grief of losing so much.

I once went to a chiropractor on the advice of my physician. He had told me he was excellent & highly recommended. I ended up with 2 herniated discs in my upper back. I had excruciating nerve pain for weeks as the area healed. It took several months for the area to finally get better. I knew a boy in high school that was paralyzed from the waist down from a chiropractor. I will never see another chiropractor ever again.
  • Stories like this make me realize how disgustingly ungrateful I can be sometimes. God bless her and her family 🙏🏽

How life can change in an instant... my heart goes out to her

Oh my goodness I remember this from last June! I am so glad she did not pass away, her brother looks very happy to see her. Glad she’s still here.

As someone who is paralyzed, this is AMAZING aside from the misfortune of her paralysis. She is very LUCKY to have a home that was custom-built for her.

23 years ago a chiropractor ruptured my disc in the t-7,8 vertebrae. I was in the prime of my life (early 20s). I went from being totally independent to totally dependent on my entire family. I moved back home. I went through a terrible depression but with therapy, prayer and the support from my parents I was able to regain my independence. No I’m not walking but I still live life to the fullest..
  • @kellylestig4941
This is exactly the reason why, even though I am in pain all the time I refuse to go to a chiropractor

She is so blessed to have such a caring mother and brother by her side! ❤
