Everything iconic here. The total silence, the choreography on the beam, the flexibility, the risk, the gracefulness, the extreme correction... And an unbeatable charisma. Olga Korbut was the revolution, way ahead of her time. Many times conservative judges saw her skills like circus. That's why 10s were impossible to the revolutionary Olga. In 1988 she became the first gymnast to be inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Not Nadia.

Watching her as a teenager is why I live for the summer Olympics.

There was something so special about her. I saw her 1972 performances as a child. I could never quite like Nadia’s style no matter how perfect she was. Olga’s grace was so beautiful.
