I have thrifted an item that I would never wear JUST for the beautiful buttons. I can transfer them to a piece that I thrift that I really like but has kinda cheap looking buttons. I do that all the time! Also, if I find something that is perfect but too big, I get it tailored to fit me perfectly. That step alone….the fit…will make an item much more high end.

Really interesting “trend” video! I have always loved this aesthetic, especially because it fits so well into the “preppy” vibe I grew with in the 70s! I was raised in New England and fell in love with all the clothing that the “rich kids” wore when I began Junior High! I was able to wear a great many of these “Quiet Luxury” pieces/outfits/accessories, by shopping in the outlets for my children and me throughout the 70s, 80s, (And Thank God!!) for the 90s—when it all came around again!! (Such as: Izod “alligator” shirts, Eagle Eye sweaters and cardigans, Topsiders by Sperry, Polo, and so on! Glad to see it all come around again!! Hayley, you did a great job of explaining, thrifting, and styling, this “timeless” aesthetic!!

I have more western and what my teen refers to as granola style. 😂 And those gold watches.... im in love with. Definitely added to my "need to find" list!
