The entire point of the first movie was 'don't let chasing joy control everything', and still they lost the cast feeding too much money into 'Joy'😂
  • @jonbeecee
At least they kept Lewis Black as Anger, he was MADE for that role

Disney must be really struggling financially after only making $31.2bn last year

$100,000 for a talent like Hader is such an insult. This is from a company that probably spends that much money on snacks for the break room each year. They expect to make hundreds of millions and they won't even offer 7 digits. WTF?

Disgust sounded the same in the new film. And no offense, but the new Fear sounded nothing like Bill Hader and it was obvious every time Fear spoke
  • @SourRobo8364
The lesson here is Hollywood pays too much for celebrities and not enough to the people actually making the film. Seriously, 5 million for Amy? That is absurd.

Fear is Hader and when you literally work with a team to build a character from the ground up based on you in a way so that’s leaves a issue when a recast happens
  • @kelownatechkid
The new Disgust is excellent. Unfortunately... Fear ... not so much
  • @dfolz1101
Disney basically has a monopoly on media in general and still somehow do not have enough to shell out for bill hader and mindy kaling? Gross.
  • @sarah31547
I hate when companies pay more for celebrities than actual talent nowadays (not saying Amy isn’t talented, just generalizing) Exhibit A) Chris Pratt as Mario and Garfield 💀
  • I'm okay with Mindy Khaling being recast but Bill Hader leaving got me pissed
  • @sustelsuk
Huh I didn’t notice disgust replacement voice but fear voice change is obvious to me ! Cause I’m big hader fan

1:30 “Inside Out proved the studio still had the magic touch for creating original stories, so naturally development of a second installment started almost immediately “ 😂

I mean, for animation they should just cast top tier voice actors instead of Celebs anyway. You usually would get an even better voice performance (as it really requires a different skillset) for a fraction of the cost of a big 'Name' even if paying the voice actor on the highest level of what most voice actors earn and making it very rewarding for them. Nobody is going to watch Animated movies based on a celebrity name. I don't think they really even did that much before Robin Williams (which, yes was perfect in that instance) in Aladdin and then it seemed to build from there to where it's not just the occasional character voiced by a once in a lifetime charismatic personality like Robin William to having a movie voiced entirely by Celebs, inflating the cost of those movies and denying voice actors the chances to get those really big jobs in your industry.

The original voice actor for Riley is really chill (I’ve spoken to her a few times) Shame she wasn’t brought back considering a VA obviously doesn’t have to LOOK the part and plenty of adults can play child animated characters
  • @realfitzmarker
Disgust's VA turn down to reprise her role (over the salary dispute) and instead had interest working on an new animated TV series based on a well-known IP...… (shows a poster from Velma) and we all know how amazing that turned out.
  • @Intabih
Or, hire actual voice actors for animated movies.
  • @TheOnlyRick3
For everyone saying without them it’s a bad movie…it’s not.
