I'm not a wife or a mother, and I still find this encouraging

This video has blessed me so very much this morning. My children are grown now, and I wish I had discovered this wisdom when they were little. Treasure these moments, because they pass so quickly!

I was avoiding your video most of the day because this is something the Lord has been knocking on my heart about. But every time I try, the kids get really sick (mommy of 4 boys) or something random happens. So I kind of began to comform. But yes, amen. In the name of Jesus, I will pray and persevere in thiis area.

I am so grateful that this video showed up on my timeline. I am so deeply frustrated with myself, and this video not only has some of the best and most relatable advice... it also makes me feel like im not the only one. I know i can get past this and become the wife and mother i am meant to.

(TIP: I keep a pair of child's scissors in my baking drawer. I use them to trim the pie crust edges - gives a perfect finish, easily, every time! ) I find that I actually will be highly PHYSICALLY productive when I am avoiding doing the 'business' or 'mind' work that I dread doing. I will create housework, busywork to do instead of making the phone call or taking care of paperwork. What I am trying to avoid is anxiety or stress & I cope with this by working myself to death. So laziness isn't always a 'physical' symptom. I can literally rearrange my whole house or weed an entire garden to evade making one business phone call. It is very immature & the excuse, "Ive been too busy" looks reasonable to outsiders. but I know the truth, & so does the Lord. Laziness is a mind rut. Sometimes it presents as just sitting around doing nothing, but other times it can look very different. I have been more intentional lately about writing those business-y things down on paper to hold myself accountable. With 2 teens working opposite shifts & going to school, homeschooling, & for many years a hubby that worked VERY strange hours, add in unannounced company ALL the time (in the country people just pop in & out randomly) and farm chores on top of it all....I NEVER plan my days out. I would feel so defeated - as literally NOTHING ever goes to plan here or any type of routine in the day, not even meals anymore. Instead I pick 'Days of the Week' to focus on one type of chore. I do every stitch of laundry on Monday, put away Tues or Wed. I do all of my baking on Friday. Housecleaning & cooking for the in-laws on Saturday. Meal planning/paperwork/Bible study on Sunday. I just do as much of whatever task is assigned for that day & don't try to be squeezing in multitudes of other tasks. It keeps things up to speed in my house & even if something 'looks bad' like a mountain of laundry on Saturday, everyone knows that it is temporary & on Monday evening everyone will have all the clean clothes they can stand to look at. It keeps my family more patient with me.
  • This is the season where I am in. I feel so helpless and not capable of doing anything. I feel guilty for starting and not completing things. I just prayed and met your video and this has encouraged me so much. Thank you
  • @Julie-pb7fe
I’m currently in a season , where I just don’t feel like doing anything much , except doing the most essential work of the home. I’m not having time / not in mood to read the word or spend time in prayer . And I feel bad every single day 🫤😑☹️ watching your video encouraged me.
  • Ty for this Tabitha I can feel that I've become less motivated to do the things in my home id rather mindlessly scroll on my phone and Ineeded this God is so so so good, praise and glory be to God
  • I love you and I love your videos but I can’t listen to this one bc I have no choice but to be a working mom bc my husband is disabled and time is what I do not have. I squeeze my homemaking tasks in on Saturday and the last hours of my day after work so this video was too much for me.. God bless you sister and thank you for teaching women everywhere Godly homemaking 💗🙏🏻

Thank you for encouraging me and others like me with this video. I’m a single mama who is walking out of the other side of a long apathetic season. I don’t know what was more comforting was that I woke up with the thought these kids need you , the fact that this wasn’t what I was coming to search on YouTube for , or the softness in your delivery of this message. Thank you for reminding me I am not helpless and alone. Thank you for reminding me God sees me, thank you for reminding me God has a plan for me and now is my time to get a plan, and simply start where my feet are.

I wish everyone a happy and blessed new week! ❤✝️🙏🏻🕊️
  • This blessed me. Thank you. My children are all grown and I have gotten in the groove of letting large chunks of my day pass me by, without being fully present. I have a very disciplined background, so I have frustratingly tried to attack my actions from the "You're just being lazy" perspective - which has NOT been successful. Thank you for reframing this and giving such helpful tips. May God richly bless you for the goodness you've shared with us. ✝️💜💕

I'm struggling with this spirit in my husband and children. I could build a skyscraper with my current mindset. Them not so much. They are addicted to gaming and "relaxing". Thank you for helping me understand my discernment about planning and structure is not crazy.

To do everything as if it was for God... I pray that the Lord reminds me of this verse when I feel overwhelmed and unwilling to go the extra mile in my work. Thank you for faithfully sharing biblical advice with us. We need the constant reminders. May God bless you and your work!🙏💕🕊

Thank you for another great video you will never know how much you helped me and still do you are an angel on earth god bless you and your family ❤

If you hold the pie dish in your left palm, then run the knife in downward motions along the edge whilst rotating, it makes trimming the pastry easier. It's a little hard to explain via text, I really liked the pattern you made along the edge, I'm going to try this, looks beautiful. Lovely video and great reminders x

Thank you for letting God use you to speak to so many issues like this one where I am stuck. A struggling marriage for many years, adopting at 50 years old and adopting again at 62 has been a struggle with children who have struggles that have taken a toll on me emotionally and I think I have just bottomed out with so many issues to deal with. I always would get up and go no matter the problem, but after so many years of the same burdens It seems I have folded up. But as this video Takes me back to my planning days and it got all done with purpose and diligence, I can see GOD was speaking directly to me. Start over!!!
