I remember the era of let's give mutant abilities super crazy backstories. Like how Nightcrawler doesn't just teleport, he has to run through hell and jump out the other side
  • @Kintizen
You missed his "Spatial Awareness" powers. Where he can instinctively know distance, speed and best angle of an attack. It's what makes him an insane tactician!

Like Wolverine said “every once in a while, I remember why you’re in charge”
  • @kastle1972
In an old old issue Wolverine said that being hit with the blast that it felt as if an entire mountain had been dropped on him.

Cyclops is one of the most famous marvel characters throughout the 90s-2000s, i remember i had his small statue a bonus gift from a famous fried chicken franchise. It was him and wolverine.

The reason why he cant control his powers is because of a brain injury.. that’s why he needs the specialized glasses..
  • I miss the days when Marvel mentioned that Cyclops' body absorbs solar energy to convert it into his optic blast. This was also the reason he has no power in the sewers after days of non-exposure to sunlight. The X-Men animated series also adapted this.

Every now and then, summers. I remember why you're still in charge. -Wolverine
  • @Gzilla313
Cyclops is like Captain America, his real power is a strategic mentality
  • @IceMan-sj7ri
Makes you wonder if he had full control of his powers, if he would be able to create portals almost anywhere, blasting from any angle at any point in any given space that he can see.

Cyclops was, is, and always will be my favorite X-men
  • @taochi100
Cyclops wolverine and Gambit will always be my favorites in the Xmen

I believe he had a bad head injury as a child that messed up his ability to control his power. And yes, the energy comes from an alien dimension but just from his eyes. Although his entire body is immune to his powers and similar types of energy(like his brother's)

Its also called the "punch dimension" btw.
  • Cyclops is underrated in my book the sheer power that visor holds back is incredible
  • @LussotheG

I love Hugh's portrayal of Wolverine and how he carried the series thus far. But man they did Scott/Cyclops dirty in the movies.
  • @budisondakh4287
Ahhh,,, my favourite character of all time,,, he's getting more love nowadays.

Got the head injury from an accident. The Summers family were flying over Alaska, the Shi'ar empire shows up, shoots the plane. Dad and mom (who was pregnant at the time) push Scott and Alex out with the only parachute, parents and soon to be born Gabriel are presumed dead, but actually taken by the Shi'ar. Scott hits his head on the way down and is in a coma for a while, getting separated from Alex and thus losing the ability to have an "off-switch" for his powers. Thank you, X-Men encyclopedia from my middle school library.
