Maybe it’s because a lot of the stuff I see online these days just paints medicine in a negative light, but you saying you have the best job in the world just makes me even happier I decided to go for med (hopefully starting in September!!). Thank you for showing what it’s really like, including the good stuff 😊

The most real thing I've read and I've been relating to it more year after year is that medical degree is like being in a relationship, you cry you laugh, you have easy times you have hard times, you experience failure you experience success, you love it you hate it, you overcome hard times and it becomes part of who you are, compliments you and makes you work harder to become a better version of you.

Thank you faye for positing. You are truly my therapy, and we appreciate all the work you do for us on social media as well as being a full-time doctor - you're aweosome ❤❤❤
  • Hi faye! i have my first A-level exam in 17 days and need to get AAA to hit my med offer at Plymouth uni and have recently adopted getting up at 5:45am to get more revision done before driving to college, and because of you i’ve been feeling so productive and positive about my future, i have so much excitement for the future and am so motivated to get to where you are. you are the ultimate med girlie role model! thanks as always ❤️

I know you are busy but you never fail to amaze me! You still go on vacations and enjoy your time during holiday, sometimes work 7 days a week, and still find time to make the best quality videos/vlogs. Watching your channel and seeing you from the beginning of med school up to now being a doctor makes my heart so happy! FAYE YOU ARE LITERALLY ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING PEOPLE! I hope you always remember that ❤

As a neurodivergent nurse, seeing you pull these kind of hours honestly impresses me so much! I’m spent at the end of my 3 day week 😭😂

For some reason those EU regs never made it to Ireland. I have worked an 11/12 day stretch as an intern. Definitely felt like a shell of a woman then too. I wish I had adopted the ‘doing things before work’ mindset because there were weeks I truly got absolutely nothing done. Great vlog Faye, it is the best job in the world and I think the trend of a lot of medical YouTubers leaving medicine is fair enough but it’s nice to see the good side too.

As an academic doctor, I definitely feel the being 'a shell of a woman' after a long day of utter chaos in the lab. Guaranteed when I have a big/busy experiment on, I'm the most popular person in the department for asking questions or favours from other people. When I get home, I prey that the batch cooked meal in the fridge is still good, and wonder if my hair can stand another day of not being washed (I have thick, curly, non greasy hair, so in the winter I can go a week without washing it!).

finally another person with adhd where caffeine keeps u awake😭😭everyone always says it makes them sleepy and it used to make me sleepy when i was younger but now it energizes tf out of me lol. when u said itll keep u staring at the ceiling if u drink it too late, i was like finally someone else hahah. im also unmedicated and looking for a psychiatrist to get treated but seeing u as a doctor with adhd inspires me sm as someone who didnt go to med school and esp everything that comes after cuz i felt like i couldnt handle it cuz of my adhd. maybe one in the day in the future i could try but for now ill stay with just getting my masters & phd but i appreciate these videos sm and the adhd ones❤
  • @wheresjasmine
