im 52 and I produce my own music. I do movie like soundscapes, pop like songs, and electronic music. I also play Mexican music. I sing in Spanish and English. I do massage for a living part time and I have a cheap rent situation. everything revolves around my music. it is life to me. if it is something you love, do not let it go, you might regret it. I don't give two shits about making it anymore. the pleasure of creating is enough for me because the truth is you'll be working for someone else in music if you get a job in the industry. freedom to create is so important.

If you love what you do, I say follow your heart. You may not be commercially successful, but if making music gives you pleasure, I say go for it! You only live once!
