Howdy all! Thank you for tuning in to my very first Minecraft video. Today I started a brand new world, gathered a boatload of materials (including every sapling type!!), and used those materials to go slightly overboard on my Swiss-themed starter house. I shared some of my building knowledge--and will continue to do so for each video in the series, considering this series' focus on building and aesthetics in Minecraft. I really should consider a building-themed name for these videos... I'll come up with something. Anyways, that's enough rambling. Thank you for giving me a chance, and enjoy! I hope you can glean something useful from my shenanigans :D

  • What I love about you is that when you build you don’t have a 3 block color palette you basically use whatever you want lol and that’s fun I get so scared building because everyone is always like choose which 3 blocks you want to build with and start building… my problem is.. I love the pink planks and deep slate lmfao 😅

I don't often check out new Minecraft YouTube channels (since I follow too many), but the build in the thumbnail got me. I prefer to watch people who are putting their own thoughts, research, and personal aesthetic preferences into their builds. I saw a hint of that in the thumbnail. I'm very glad that I checked this out because it's clear that Oggie has put a lot of thought and care into this video. I wanted to comment because I want Oggie to know that this is an excellent first video. I hope they feel more confident making videos after this because they have nothing to apologize for here. It's good to be mindful of the small adjustments that can be made while recording and editing a video to improve its quality, but don't sweat the small stuff. The audience generally won't notice unless it's distractingly bad. Adding more polish and personality to videos gets easier with practice. I'm looking forward to watching the next episode! The thumbnail for that one is even more exciting. ❤

Also, as I now have watched the whole video, I didn´t remember hearing any loud clicking. In general, for a first episode from a new adventurer into making videos, this was really good! Your voice is clear and understandable. Maybe timelapses can be a thing for you? It takes a while to find an editing style that works for you and that is to be expected and hopefully accepted. ^^ Wish you all the best on your way!
  • This is so wholesome. I've been watching many of the Hermitcraft videos since their new season started this year and this was nice and relaxing. Gave BDub vibes and I'm here for it. The cottage is so cute and I look forward to seeing what else you add. I agree with another commenter that timelapse could work. Overall amazing first video <3
  • Just started trying to record my first ever series because of this episode, that opening scene convo is exactly how I’ve felt for a long time. I appreciate you, new fan here!

yooo, you did something right with this because it hit my fyp (not my searches, opening fyp!!) and I don't follow you/havent seen your stuff before
  • @bluepanda7580
3:15 “get dyed… in more ways than one” 😂 that got me good Also this is fantastic, I wouldn’t have guessed it was your first video!! Looking forward to when your channel blows up and I get to say I was here at 1000 subs
  • @FreeSpaghet
I loved hearing your thought process on your cottage build. I always like hearing how each person approaches building. Also don’t worry about the quality, this video was fantastic for a first attempt at a Minecraft YouTube video. I have seen much worse from very established creators. Keep it up! I’m glad that the algorithm has actually done its job and recognized real talent!!!

the cottage looks so whimsical out in the meadow you haveeee to add a flower field to surround it!! would look so pretty having a thick of flowers stretching out across both sides of a path leading up to it <3

Your cat is soo cute! And The torch method is soo genius! I always get lost and have to dig out in the end! 😂Definetly gonna try that! And I really love your starter base and how you show some of the detailing! I never thought of using mud with deepslate but that's a great combo!
  • @arosaceae
This makes me want to start a new world and try and incorporate some of these lovely building tips!! I loved the use of mud; I knew packed mud looked good but I never thought about just regular mud! And the deepslate looks sooo good with it too! I think my favorite part of this all was that your starter house is beautiful but achievable for the regular Minecraft player in a new world, without all the resources that are really hard to gather in bigger quantities early game. It really inspires me while also feeling like something I could accomplish without spending several hours in game making farms or whatnot. I look forward to seeing where you go with this world!!
  • @bambi.builds
Omg how have I never thought of dyeing the sheep to be the same colour 😂 genius. Great first video! I finally bought a mouse and it clicks very loudly, so you have inspired me to order a new one!
  • @torino429scj
I love the build! It's got depth, gradients and color, and shape and interest abound as well! I thought you had a fun beginning for us to watch. More feedback... your voice is fantastic! I didn't mind the mouse clicks that much, but you're probably right about trying to minimize / eliminate them if possible. If not possible, not a big deal. I thought your audio was really spot on except for like twice when there was a bit of an echo but you probably heard that , maybe you backed away from your mic or something. That wasn't a negative, just something I noticed. Overall, super enjoyable. I'm a builder, so I appreciate vids like this. Your voice creates a lovely, light and welcoming vibe for us. Voice is fantastic, I thought editing was great also. I stream and had thought of making a vid much like this, so I'm just looking at it from that angle. You definitely earned my sub and I am going to be watching you climb in views and subs as time goes on. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us all!
  • @AuroraDiamondis
Loved to see your process from gathering to building! Mangrove is a pain to gather :( Gonna steal dying the sheep in the beginning, that´s so smart!
  • @ViolettaVie
I love meadow biomes, the flowers and the flatness. Great choice. Also, I love your roof shape. I never thought to use trapdoors like that to extend the angle. Mud blocks and deepslate tiles are a great combination.
  • I would say youve been so lucky in this play through but it seems most Minecraft players I watch are as well. I suppose it’s a skill issue for me 😢. I have about a 7 year gap from playing Minecraft and have been on a journey relearning things and catching up for a few months now. Also when you said you forgot about Mangrove even though you love building with it cracked me up 😂❤
  • @yukiaiko5017
Hi ^^ just finished watching your video. Audio seems good as it is but looking forward to the next ones. Also love your building style and that i can use it as a tutorial too. I am definitely going to watch the next few episodes too ^^
  • @Cairnocke
