It's so frustrating, I work in a doctor's office and I am trying to get started on a carnivore diet. I turn down their statins and diabetes drugs and am pretty much labeled noncompliant. They make fun of me when I talk about this way of eating like "here she goes again, thinking she knows more than we do", but I actually do! They will see when I reverse my diabetes and bring my blood pressure down! Ugh...

I bought a Teddy Bear with a stethoscope, put it in the corner, and it's my new doctor.

I asked a friend who his primary care provider was. He recited some doctor's name. I said "Wrong. Your primary care provider is you. Everybody else is just support staff".

These are my 5 rules for practice 1. I measure my success by how little I need to do for you 2. The best medication is and always will be the one you never need to take 3. The best operation is the one you never need to have. 4. Stay away from doctors, a doctor's bag is full of sharp instruments and poison, and they are willing to use them at every opportunity 5. When you DO need a doctor, find a doctor that practices by these five rules! Finally, never in my life did I go to a BBQ for the salad (or lentil burgers) Dr Kingsta Queensland, Australia

My doctor in Toronto, Canada, said if everyone did keto, the healthcare system would collapse. There would be no diabetes, heart disease, metabolic syndrome, dementia etc.
  • Back in early 2020, when I started seeing my most recent doctor (when my wife and I switched to Kaiser), in the sign-up information I wrote that I was Type 2 Diabetic in my pre-existing conditions. The doctor did some preliminary labs (mostly as a physical or whatever) and when I came back a few days later for the results, he was like: 'Are you SURE you're Diabetic? Your A1C is 5.0!' So, I told him that I'd been diagnosed back in 2018 with an A1C of 7.6 and started keto right after that, dropping my A1C down within a year or so. He was really surprised, but since then he just keeps saying: 'Whatever you're doing, keep doing it, because your numbers are great! You're diabetic for insurance purposes, because of that old diagnosis, but in reality, you've reversed it!'.
  • Hi I am a keto/carnivore friendly doctor - just moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL - will be starting up a practice in a month or two in the area
  • I am lucky. My M.D. suggested a low carbohydrate diet to lose weight. He was happy that my blood tests improved so much . 😚👍
  • Dr. John Littell stands for medical freedom in Florida!! Look him up if you're anywhere near Ocala, Florida. He supports my carnivore lifestyle. He hosted a Florida summit with Dr. Shawn Baker as a guest speaker. He stood up against covid mandates. He is awesome

I’m 80 y/o, live in Northern California & am a member of a well known, gigantic HMO. My doctor is a woman who received her medical education in Pakistan. When my A1c hit 6.5 she told me, “no meds, low carb and exercise daily.” I use a walker & do a mile every day. I eat very low carb. In three months, I’ve lost 30 lbs, A1c is 5.8 and no longer have a myriad of annoyances like eczema, insomnia, &. acid reflux. My hair is thicker, nails are stronger, and my previously white-coated tongue is pink. Low carb works!
  • @iam_nell
My doc reversed his T2 diabetes with keto. Showed me some before & after pictures of his weight loss. Bravo doc

  • started Atkins keto 15 years ago, carnivore 2 yrs, heart stress test this week results, my 79 year old heart is in perfect condition
  • I'm in Australia, Village of Nimbin, sister city to Woodstock, my Dr (drug pusher for big pharmaceuticals)of 30 years left the practice, I now have a new Dr, and he is also classic carnivore, when we do my labs for PSA levels(monitoring prostate) after cancer treatment, he says I won't bother with Cholesterol levels because you are doing remarkably well. Dr Alexander Booth Nimbin Medical Centre. Also after my 4 week everyday radiotherapy sessions my Oncologist was surprised to see a "remarkable reaction to the radiation treatment." Thankyou Dr Berry, you told me the TRUTH and I was able to adjust my lifestyle for much better health.❤

Carnivores are hardly sick which is awesome! We do need a list of doctors for sure though.
  • @TonyKamloops

I, too, was recently diagnosed with cancer on my right kidney. Was supposed to have surgery Jan. 10 (my 69th birthday) but decided against it. When I told my Urologist cancer specialist I want to heal it metabolicaly, he had a fit !!! He acted like he didn't know what metabolic meant. He suggested I IMMEDIATELY get this surgery done. When I said "no" he agreed to let me have another Cat Scan done in June. I started Carnivore on my b-day Jan. 10 and already feel better. Long ways to go to being well, tho. Debbie in Florida

My neurologist (who was very dismissive of diet being a factor in epilepsy) retired and they left me with his Nurse Practitioner who is AWESOME. She can write prescriptions and she started out her medical career as a nutritionist. She is completely onboard with the idea of de-prescribing drugs unlike her MD predecessor. Just to say that you can sometimes find a medical professional who is helpful even if they don't have the MD after their name on the white coat.
  • @DarthCarnivore
My young doc isn't really for or against keto/carnivore but he just says keep doing whatever I'm doing because it's working, even if my LDL dips above 200. Down 166#, got off all meds, A1C down, CRP down, etc....he seems to take notes, maybe I'm, in some way, educating him. Who knows.
