Science fiction, conspiracies and physics collide in this film about the machine that has scientists enthralled.

In 2008, the 'Large Hadron Collider' gripped the world with fears that the massive machine filling a 27km circular tunnel would engulf the planet in a black hole. Doomsday was approaching according to the media, yet physicists were unperturbed. "You could never produce sufficient anti-protons [for such a feat]", explains one CERN scientist. Two years on Doomsday has not yet arrived and the machine has collided sub-atomic particles with an energy reminiscent of the Big Bang. This engaging documentary brings us one step closer to understanding the mysteries of the universe and the potential dangers in exploring them.

Come up with a material that can fill potholes that will last longer than 3 months and then I will take your word that colliding particles at higher and higher speeds is perfectly safe. These brains should be able to solve that over lunch.
  • my one question is has anyone done studies of the earths magnetic field above and around the hadron collector as it is running at full power
  • @mennavanessa
Why do we need to know the workings of the universe when we don’t even know the workings of our own heart
  • It may not destroy the earth but it could be the reason for the earth being destroyed. We are in the end times .

The LARGEST, most COMPLEX and EXPENSIVE thing EVER made - supposedly without any specific aims or defined financial benefits. Are you buying that we built a mega expensive curiosity machine when we cant even house our poor?
  • And they just finished run 3 as we speak... thankfully we havent been quite turned into soup just yet... but this thing is gonna be our downfall if you ask me.. and if they really do build a bigger more powerful collider its game over... these people have no idea what they are doing
  • The devil would rather disappear than suffer for all eternity. He wants to take us with him. He thinks he escape God. He can't.
  • Funny, how once CERN was back online this year 2022. It was recorded that the Earth had its shortest day recorded in history. Something is not right.

This is going to open up the contents of Pandora’s box and no way to reverse the damage and God help the earth and the people who live in it.
  • Technology will always progress faster than our ability to use it responsibly

17:42 '...100 meters below the earth...' Yet, somehow, a fkn weasel got down there and chewed through a cable - coincidentally, coinciding a massive earthquake that happened seconds after the experiment, that forced a shutdown of the collider. Yep, seems legit.

My interesting story about when the Mandela Effect started.(Believe me if you want. Its EXACTLY what happened to me. I woke up & then there were 2 timelines) I was browsing thru youtube back in 2015 and watching this CERN video about how they are going to test to see if they can send a particle MERE MOMENTS before it launched to interacted with itself in the large hadron collider. I remember reading that, that experiment will take place the following day. I, being a hard watcher/studier of space/time travel/experimentations, I said "CERN is going to fuck up the world dude! You cant interact with something and expect the timeline not to be affected." Literally the following afternoon or following day after they launched it and did it (it was successful btw look it up) Literally the follow day, the world changed "Mandela Effect" everybody remembered TWO different timelines. I strongly believe CERN's experiment was successful & had ripple effects on time. Even something as insignificant as small a particle interacting with itself caused so much damage with time.

100's of thousands of years later all this will be discover underneath all the sand or jangle, and for them it will be nothing more than a burial chamber for the kings or queens anyways.

Neurons and atoms are like the nuts and bolts of our universe. I really have to wonder if they know what to expect or what could go wrong, I know it's highly controlled and monitored heavily. But smashing those things together is a scary thought because it's more less trying to rip holes in our existence to discover more of these neurons and atoms or something else. But trying to mimic the way a blackhole works is impossible since they don't nearly have the energy needed to do that. Doesn't mean that it's not extremely unstable. I just don't think this is something we should mess with. We haven't explored the entirety of our oceans, space and haven't discover everything here. It just doesn't make sense. So you're telling me we can't cure cancer which is something that can happen within ourselves but we can create mini blackholes. Does nobody not see the problem with that? This is technology that we know something about.. We don't know about the other stuff that has been invented and hidden since this.
