  • That first tip about adding a bit of water to my fried eggs is pure genius. Thank you.

Great job keeping a straight face while holding up that coffee/clove β€˜blunt’ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰

Tip for getting rid of flies. Put apple cider vinegar in a bowl and add a tablespoon of dish liquid and stir. Leave alone and see the flies drown in the bowl.

I have deseeded my peppers like this forever... guess my mom did teach me something!!! ;P

Those garlic tips are sensational and I thank you. For the crushed garlic I simply sliced the cloves in half lengthways, put them flat-side down under the plastic, and whacked them with the meat hammer. The skins simply lift off. I'm not entirely lazy but the knuckle disease does hamper things and I'll leap at any little trick that makes my kitchen easier. Sincere thanks from Oz.
  • You are SO observant, you noticed his beautifully MANICURED HANDS too!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I'll be trying the onion & cheese snack tip- maybe with a dash of garlic & paprika.

The candle stove is genius! My sister and I would find that so much easier than tackling grills or propane stoves!

My dad used to make ice cream floats. They were pretty good. A non-food idea when it's really hot and if you don't have A/C .... in an open window, place a fan (box fans work the best) and face it OUTWARDS. It will suck out the hot air inside to the outside, and help lower the temperature and even some of the humidity. We have had a broken A/C all through the summer so far and we've been doing this and with the exception of a couple of really really bad days, it has helped immensely. A dehumidifier also helps (lessening the humidity will help it feel cooler) .... also, a wet cloth/rag draped around your neck, wet it when it dries .... helps keep you a bit cooler (and a small fan keeping air moving will help this too).

Sprinkle a bit of salt on watermelon; sounds weird, but...🀌πŸ’₯ Gonna try the lemon juice!πŸ‘Œ

That onion soaking trick works but anytime a food is soaked or rinsed in water some flavor is lost, depending on the length of time. Bell peppers: I cut the top and bottom then make a vertical cut. Slowly pull the pepper from the membrane, like you're unrolling it. There should be minimal seed flying, the seed core virtually intact, and one long piece of pepper. Cut the remaining white part away and then slice or dice to your heart's content.
