Hey, heroes! Thanks for watching another video! As always, let me remind folks that if you'd like to support the show directly, you can do so by going to patreon.com/MerryMarvelite ans signing up. As little as a dollar a month will get you the role of Mighty Avenger on the Discord server and put your name in the special thanks at the end of the video. I'll also be streaming on Twitch this weekend. On Saturday, we'll be playing Night Trap. Sunday will be our monthly Demos & Discounts stream in which I play a variety of random games and demos on Nintendo Switch. Streams start at 2:30 and go for 3-4 hours. Hope to see you guys there! Excelsior!

Honestly Uatu is one of my favorite characters in Marvel because of his interference. He sees everything. Every sin, every crime, every pain and yet he still choses to interfere to help us out. Not the Kree, not the Skrull, not the Shi'ar, we are the ones he cares for so much.

There's a wonderful few panels during the Onslaught saga where Apocalypse emerges from his tomb to see the coming battle play out only to find the Watcher already at the entrance of the tomb surveying the would be battle ground of New York across the water. Apocalypse wasn't sure Onslaught was a big player in his coming age but seeing Uatu standing in his silent vigil tells him all he needs to know. It still gives me shivers thinking about it 25 years later
  • This takes me back to my comic book years. This was very well done and will be very useful to fill in the gaps for my kids who don't know the total backstory of today's Marvel universe. Thank you.

Cool! All I had known about the Watcher, prior to this video, was that he watches and records events from throughout the multiverse and that he had been recent killed by Nick Fury, who then took his place. I had no idea that his presence and powers where so significant in the Marvel Comics Universe! So thanks.

I'm slowly making my way through your videos, and I appreciate your exhaustive research, tight scripts, and engaging narration. But this comment is mainly to praise the beautifully reproduced comic art, and the way you juxtapose frames from different artists, in different books, sometimes separated by decades, often out of chronological order in terms of publication, but presented in a new context. Amazing work. As far as a few random suggestions, I'll say Jack of Hearts, the Micronauts, Machine Man, Captain Universe, Moondragon.
  • I love the Watcher he's so rich in stories What If is my favorite comic series

You must of had a-lot of takes while recording. Overall it was very engaging. Definitely worth a rewatch.

What would happen if the Watchers did something like watch paint dry or watch grass grow without looking away for one minute? What would happen if we had an action figure of a Watcher and kept it on display?
