Bakersfield's Greatest Tuberider (Vintage Footage!!!)

When I first met Danny (not to be confused with our booking manager Danny) back in college in the early 90's, I was blown away at how good this teenager from Bakersfield was at riding the tube (and surfing in general). Several years later when we took this trip back in 2000, when Danny was still in his 20's, I asked him, "How did you get so good at tuberiding??" And his response was something like, "Well, when most people get in the tube, it seems like the main thing they want to do is get out. I figure it's such an awesome place I might as well stay in there as long as I can." After living full time on the central coast of California for over 30 years now, he's only gotten better and better. This skinny former farmer kid has done the aggies proud!
