He explores four areas the Yankees need to shore up before October.
While fun, the London Series "juice" may not be worth "the squeeze" in spreading baseball across Europe.
The Reds have rebounded and the Royals are going for it. Ken dishes on both teams rising in the standings
Inside Dish applauds players speaking in English as a second language in interviews. Teoscar Hernandez showed off his personality and raised his stardom this weekend, and Ken argues speaking in English helped fans connect with him.
Grillin' Ken answers your questions, including what a return package for Luis Robert Jr. could be, what happened at the beginning of Saturday's FOX game, and why Red Sox fans are reasonably irked by John Henry's quotes in the Financial Times.

Thanks Ken for pointing out the facts about bilingual interviews. Virtually every ignorant fan who criticizes foreign players who don't do interviews in English is most certainly monolingual. How do I know that? I know that anyone who is bilingual would NEVER criticize anyone who needs an interpreter because they know how difficult it is. I've been teaching in French in France for 25 years. I have also done radio interviews. Even though I am technically "bilingual" (I am paid to speak French…), I am always worried about sounding like a fool. Most of the time, I do just fine, but there is always that moment when the fact that I am not a native speaker comes out for everyone to hear...

As a Brit that's followed baseball for nearly 30 years, I've loved my experiences of going to London for the games. But, I agree with Ken. Its fun for British fans, and for ( I think more likely) Americans that live here, but realistically, its just not going to take off in the mainstream. I doubt there's even a handful of local parks around the whole country that have a corner for baseball. It was covered by the BBC's online services, but it wasn't easy to find. I knew about it and searched for it, and still struggled to find it. I'd be surprised if their viewing figures were large enough to warrant much further support. TNT Sports and Discovery+ did a much better job

I was there Sunday night and it was definitely a playoff atmosphere. Great game.

When Tony, [Anthony Santander, O's] did his first interview in English with Brandon Quinones, I was so happy for him. He looked very proud to confidently speak to the fans, It makes me want to learn Spanish.

I agree. Teoscar Hernandez built meaningful personal brand equity, even if his English wasn’t perfect. He came across as warm and engaging, and he impressed me. I love the Dodgers, and now I’m intrigued by Teoscar, the newest face on the team this side of Cavin Biggio. It might have been challenging for him since he is not a native English speaker, but he did really well. English-speaking fans appreciate his effort.

Yanks need to address second base way before first base. First baseman may be older but he's a world series champ and he was a big part of that team. Yankees second baseman is a bumbling knucklehead.

The Dodgers and the Yankees should play every year

Ken just doesn’t know that It is one thing for Latin speakers to speak English as a second language, and quite another for speakers of native languages of very different origins to speak English. Nothing to take away from Teoscar though. I love him so much!

Ozzie Albies speaks 4 languages

John Henry already did all he wanted to with the Red Sox, he is now focused on his shiny new soccer team and using the Red Sox profits to fund buying that.

What will the Dodgers do with Gavin Lux now that Cavin Biggio has joined the roster?
