The Celtic folk band Spinning Wheel (Austria) plays the song "Maid on the Shore." In this emancipated pirate-hitchhiker crossover song, a woman robs an entire pirate ship by getting herself taken on board, enchanting the captain, and singing the crew to sleep with a magical song. The Maid on the Shore is a traditional song from Newfoundland made popular by Stan Rogers in the 1970ties and later by Karan Casey of Solas.
