Gil Scott-Heron’s daughter Gia Scott-Heron talks about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2021

Hey guys!
Happy New Year 🎆 2022!!
Finally getting this out to you guys! Thanks to all the new subbies, and welcome to the G-squad!
This video just gives some of the highlights from my trip to Cleveland, to attend the induction ceremony for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The V.I.P. Chairmain’s Bash was held at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame museum, and the induction ceremony was held the following night at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse stadium.
Both events were very well attended, and everyone was really excited to be there (considering the era in which we are currently living).
Speaking personally, I am both humbled and gratified by the recognition, and am definitely proud of my Pop, the great Gil Scott-Heron. 😊

  • Your father was a genius and blessed with the remarkable ability to convey messages of the “black plight” through music in such a way like none other. His music impacted my life tremendously. Thank you for sharing your experience.
