Simplest repair ever - MOTU Midi Express XT

Published 2019-07-05
I've bought a MIDI router that can filter the signals to/from the TR-909, so I'm selling this one:

A MOTU Midi Express XT had an output port that didn't work, with an unexpected solution!

The MOTU Midi Express XT is an eight in/eight out MIDI router. This is the old pre-USB version.

I have this model too. Is there a detailed description of each of the factory presets in the manual ?

Nice! I think when those backup batteries run down the memory contents can get into a weird/corrupt state. (not unique to the motu, just battery backed musical gear/electronics in general)
  • It works perfectly with 64bit Windows. What are you on? The MIDI sysex can be sent from anything with a midi interface.
