WE CAN'T LAND! The Incredible Story of Air India 101

I was a passenger on that flight. It was definitely a scary moment. Still recall those panicking faces. Everyone started praying and hoping for the best. Once we were able to land everyone started clapping and was a such relief to get off. That day was definitely something i will always remember.

The clearest radio convo between ATC and pilot I ever heard ...💯

No panicking, no blabbering, straight mind, brave face, intelligent thinking, prompt decision making, clear explanation, quick action. Many salutes to these amazing talented best Pilots and ATC. Thank you very very much for existing. You are amazing. You saved so many souls that day. God bless you always!

Indian government should have rewarded high civilian AWARD to these four Pilots along with the Air Traffic Controller. Hats off to all of them.

Kudos to the Pilots and the JFK ATC…these gentlemen saved many souls. Their professional communication skills and team work did a lot of good.

I was a doctor on flight. A lot of passengers were having anxiety and one of them developed anxiety attack that was thought to be heart attack. Announcements were made and I along with one more doctor volunteered. While plane was descending, we were working on that passenger knowing well that this could all end soon for all of us in worst of ways. Prayers did work and plane landed smoothly. We all clapped and cheered.

It was my first flight to the United States and my first time flying 15 hours straight. Having changed the scenary around ground during landing got me running chills down my nerves. After landing, there was heavy rain outside but we were clapping. That day really something which i will remember....

It's shame that Indian airlines like Air India did not release any statements of any such investigations on their faulty systems.

What one gets to see is not only the Absolute Professionalism of the Crew but also how Calm the Pilot in Command appears to be in such a dire Emergency!!

I had taken same flight number multiple times with same Pilot, so when it had happened it was in news, I was in chills. Kudos to pilot for his calm and getting this landed safely.

The Fact That it Was On September 11 Is Scary

I have watched a lot of crash videos and have seen pilots panicking and taking wrong decisions (Air France Flight 447 being the latest) but the way the pilots maintained their composure in this case is truly commendable and admirable!

My friend said that Air India engages people from Air force as Pilots. No wonder they have balls of metal.... He kept his cool and was very prompt...

Standing ovation and Salute to the "4 Pilots". This is never on news or broadcasted. 370 Souls + Crew should celebrate together.

For being a passenger on that flight it was horrifying people were so nervous and anxious and people were crying, and I get why. also I was thinking it’s September 11th and it was over New York and I was like, something like that can never happen again. I just have to thank the pilots for safely land the plane it’s was got me into aviation it should be a day to remember… great video it deserves more likes because you said EVERYTHING so accurately. And from what I remember (I was 7) someone had a anxiety attack or a heart attack and I remember a few people volunteering to help. I’m 13 now and I still remember that day like it was yesterday.

Literally got goosebumps.. I aspire to be a pilot one day and this shook me to the core. I appreciate the pilots sense of judgement and their prompt actions that made the landing possible.

Salute to the crew. So calm and confident. Not every pilot will behaves this way.

We could see fear in the crew's voice but instead of panicking, they just were confident and made the right decisions.

I was at the Newark airport to fly out to SFO for a work conference when all this happened. Never knew how serious it was. We did see emergency vehicles drive out onto one of the runways from the windows, but our gate agent had told us they were there for training purposes lol. Wasn't until I got to SFO that I heard the news from my then girlfriend about the situation, and didn't really learn what happened inside the cockpit until just now. Those pilots are heroes, thanks for this video!

Can't believe the fact that there is no investigation or reports on the incident. Shame on you Air India. Please don't wait for something to happen to act.
