when a lot of insanely good MNK players decide to switch to controller its a redflag. Hal even said after they won ALGS in Sweden "I was lacking mechanical skill so I picked up controller and won lan." how do people not see a problem with that

This discussion makes no sense. You can’t nerf a response curve, nerf the aim assist instead. Even if they nerf “linear”, people could just switch to alc and put their response curve at 0.

Tap strafing barely makes a difference in high level play

They was saying the same about 4/3 classic before.

Classic is what made this game difficult for newcomers (like myself). That response curve basically slowed your ADS sensitivity to a snails pace which basically forced you to overcompensate your recoil control. Really bad for muscle memory because the patterns were so sporadic. Linear response curve is 1:1 raw input movement (I use ALC 3 RC). Genburten said it best “zero response curve makes it feel like im playing mnk”. If i wanted to drag down to compensate for recoil, i just drag down. Tracking on linear is what makes it OP. There’s no sensitivity slowdown when you’re tracking players. Literally just have to worry about my reticle hovering over other players and not even compensate my recoil. I played on pretty low ADS values when i started my super low response curve journey cus its so flicky and fast, but once you get used to it, its crazy how much easier the game gets.

Since swapping to linear couple months ago(having tried it before as well) I definitely feel my aim has improved. Like they said in the video. The small adjustments seem much smoother instead of dragging so much. Still takes skill. But you have to get used to linear as well because it is much more sensitive.

Question are console and computer players in the same lobbys in regular pub games or ranked?

Linear just gives you more control over your aim specially at close range where its often needed the most. Before linear everyone used to say classic was aimbot and the go to sense because no one bothered to actually try and get used to linear other than a handful and Genburten. I still feel classic is stickier which is why it feels horrible after you get used to linear as it is too much but before that linear felt horrible as it was too responsive. They both have their pros and cons imo but the better you are as a player the less you'll feel the cons.

Very rare to find mnk preds these days Grinding for 8 hours a day you only gonna play good 4 hours the rest of them will be -rp This rarely happen on controller when you are tired cuz you are not alone you have aa I'm not talking about sweet,hiswattson idk what these guys are eating but i'm talking about people with life I have alot of mnk ex preds as friends that have life and grind and only end up securing half split pred But i have controller friends aswell that have a life and get multiple times pred

I miss when people were ignoring Linear. I was Linear for years and even quit ALC to go back to 4-3 Linear small deadzone. When next season Hal goes Linear and starts talking how Linear is broken then everyone in their mother acted like they been linear for years when it bullshit. They all been Classic 4-3 of 4-4 No Deadzone. If you played Apex Legends you all know this is true. Only people that used Linear were those who were using ALC but couldn't find their right ALC settings so we went back to Linear. I am one of them but Hal being the goat he is and playing at pro level does insane amount of damage and it also not just his input but his awareness, game sense, positioning, and knowledge of the game that no normal player will never have. All he changed was his input and he was never mechanically skilled on mnk so him switching inputs really doesn't matter but he did it just because he was sick of losing and he would do anything to win and i don't blame him for that. I have always believed that aim assist should also be 0.3 from 0.4 and that tap strafing on controller shouldn't be allowed.

The best console grinders run 4-3 linear so it’s the same

Na sticking to alc 4 3 linear feels so slow

You can tap strafe all day, if you are at the same skill level with the enemy the controller will help your enemy track your tap strafe. .

i dont get these pros like linear is just a response curve with no delay thats why on good players it looks OP cuz if you have good aim and mechanic you will beam but thats not the case for every one especially casualls i think 70% of players are still on classic cuz they just cant play linear and believe me linear is not OP its just the players brain and thumb being accurate
