Once I was admiring oranges in the countryside and an elderly lady came out and gave me some. She said they are given by god so they are given to all of us! So lovely.

I’m enjoying your content so much. Me and my husband discovered Sicily in 2018 and returned the next year but then because of the Covid couldn’t go back last year. Watching your beautiful easy lifestyle makes me visit it just so much more.
  • Swami SAYS, great stuff, Gigi and Jeff. These episodes are providing Swami with a SIGNIFICANT amount of intel gathering about Italy, and Sicily in general. Swami is STRONGLY considering finally relocating to Swami's REAL homeland. Swami would be interested in hearing more about Gigi and Jeff's general life experience (ex. work, family history) and especially how that life experience relates to your current experience in Sicily. For instance, Gigi's memories of Sunday Italian dinner in America, in light of the new experience in Italy proper. Keep it up. You are appreciated... #SwamiSays
  • Happy to have found your channel! My husband started a 2 year work contract in Sicily last July. We have an awesome place in Aci Trezza. I was fortunate enough to spend 5 weeks there in July/Aug. and can't wait to go back, possibly in April but definitely for summer!(we live in San Diego, Ca. otherwise). We visited many of the places you have recorded, which makes me miss it so much! One of my favorite visits was to Alcantara gorge...so beautiful! I hope Mamma Etna is still putting on a show when I get back there!
  • Going to the bathroom is a problem right now, because of Covid-19 😷. They are reluctant to let you use the bathrooms.

What is it about allowing someone to use the bathroom in Italy when you are out? I was born and raised in NYC so I am well versed in looking for a place to go but in Italy it is a high art form using the facilities. It is an issue to consider when considering a visit to Italy. I would have to buy a bottle of water which is counterproductive.
