  • Even seeing the product of 20 years of graphical advancement right next to it, the original graphics of the game still hold up to this day. It’s very impressive.

I like how Ridley flies by flapping his wings in the vacuum of space
  • @lumalilies
9:50 the omega pirate breaks out of its test tube, instantly has a heart attack, and falls on samus, dead
  • @BoomiestBomb
An actually great remaster. Looks like the game we all saw in our heads.

I really enjoy the comical amount of space pirates that fly out of every explosion of the frigate. It's like they had more pirates in the walls than parasites.
  • When I first saw Remastered I was like "I don't get it... it looks exactly as I remember". Then I saw the comparison videos and I was like "0_0 whoa"

3:03 has to be one of the coolest new animations they did with how the particles and and transition is with the downgrading suit, next to the Metroid prime chase animations where she doesn't look like a stiff robot chasing Prime

I like how the original devs where determined to show Samus's suit malfunction in real time instead of swapping the model with a camera change. Remastered version Is likely what the wanted to do.

I think my favorite part is how different the Plasma Beam looks. In the Gamecube and Trilogy versions, it just looks like molten rock in-between the spaces in the arm cannon, but in the remaster, it looks like actual flowing magma, it looks incredible.

The left one is how I remember it looking. I first saw it and said "yeah, they did not improve much" but after seeing the old footage, the difference is massive. And that is not all, the old ones still look amazing. The Retro Studios guys are amazing.
  • This felt like a graphical demo for Prime 4 and if so, this raises my expectations quite a bit.

I’m playing this right now on the OLED, man the graphics are insane, they overhauled this game yet it retains the gameplay. The dual stick controls are so good, it’s incredible they made this game work in a modern setting.

Interesting, that they moved the camera further away in the remake in some cases to show more of the scenery, good choice.
  • I brought Metroid Remsaterd & I played it for a half hours and I can't believe how the graphics are. They are so enhanced, so damn excellent that I couldn't believe that I am playing Metroid Prime back when I had it on Gamecube. I hope they do the same to the 2nd & 3rd ones like they did with the first one cause man, the Remastered just blew me away.
  • @samquik
9:44 they went crazy remodeling the Omega Pirate, he has the biggest glow-up between the two versions of the game. looks so much scarier!
  • @phixix
This really puts it into perspective that the character modelling budget in MP1 all went on Samus XD
  • It's stoaking that so many people are in love/falling in love with this series.

I never noticed the dead space pirates flying out into space as the frigate explodes before. Sweet!!
