Series 4 - Episode 5 | This film was first broadcast: 2008

Award-winning hotelier Alex Polizzi continues her quest to turn the UK's hotels of horror into relaxing retreats. Alex's mission in this long-running format is to salvage some of the worst run establishments and help their owners turning their flagging businesses into profitable ventures. Along the way, there's dubious decor, questionable cleanliness and sometimes even family feuds to contend with. Using the tricks of the trade, The Hotel Inspector brings their no-nonsense approach and practical intelligence to bear on every level of the hotel trade. It's a wake-up call for businesses that would otherwise be facing closure.

  • It looks as if Rachel Roffe now currently owns and operates a lovely B and B called the little Annexe in Stamford,UK. It has gotten rave reviews and seems very successful. I`m so happy for her!

This woman has clearly had the confidence taken out of her somehow... Absolutely lovely human being and deserves nothing but the best. ❤

This show needs an update. People who are positive and grateful such as this hotelier deserve to win in life.
  • This was Alex’s finest hour, it just shows how compassionate and amazing she is with someone who wants and needs her help 😀 she turned Rachel into a fabulous hotelier

It's seldom I like a hotel owner on this series, but Rachel is adorable! And it's so nice that Alex likes her 🥰

This episode was different to all the others, Alex and Rachel were so well connected.

Everyone needs and Alex Polizzi in their life! This is my favourite episode...kindness in abundance and the loveliest owner I have encountered.
  • I have never appreciated Alex Polizzi's skills more than I do in this episode ❤️❤️❤️

I love the little Hotel Inspector community we have going on here 😊
  • It makes my heart ache to see such a lovely, beautiful soul, overwhelmed and downtrodden by bad mental health. I hope wherever Rachel is now she is thriving and happy.

I enjoyed this episode. I like it when the owners take Alex's advice without resistance & drama.

So happy to see Rachel's confidence rebuilt at Number 9 and to learn that she's taken it with her successfully to her new venture. Great episode. 😊
  • @hmk..
17:17 the ribbon cutting + her late Majesty the Queen's accent is the best part. I think this is Alex 's best moment.

Wonderful! My only concern is that the 1950s theme leans too strongly on the feminine side. A few pictures of 50s automobiles would not hurt to appeal to the guys; they are one of the strongest indicators of that period and the last of the creative styling in cars which we have no more.

Rachel is so sweet and likable. It makes you want to see her succeed!
  • Funny how those who didn't live through the 1950s think it was such a hip and glamorous decade.
  • @CAZZIEK321
It’s horrifying how quickly hotel rooms look out of date. Flat screen TVs, iPod players, colour themes. It seems an impossibly expensive target to chase. Hotel owners are hard workers.
  • @kooral6959
I hope that these two stayed in touch. I think they would be lifelong friends
  • @Jo-yp8wy
Wherever Rachel is now, I hope she's happy. Lovely lady.
