Kingdom Hearts have some of the most beautiful game openings

Best intro to the saddest of Kingdom Hearts games. Each friend desperate to save each other by sacrificing themselves, only for no one to survive unscathed.

I like the subtle hints about what happens in the game through the whole opening. The best part is when it has Terra in that white hall running from the dark and then shows Ven in the dark hall running from the light. I like to interpret it that Terra walks in the light and is running from his own darkness that catches up to him in the game. Ven's interpretation is even better though. He walks in the dark because of his past and the fact that he doesn't remember it. Running from the light is him trying to escape the truth of his past and of what he is. It's beautiful.

this opening makes more sense now. with ven and terra both running. (ven from losing memories and terra from darkness) and all of them falling basically to xehenort's plans. wow

People who ask why Ventus looks like Roxas it's the other way around. Roxas looks like Ventus due to Sora taking in Ventus's shattered heart at the end of BBS.

I just realized.. Ventus has the green wayfinder & Terra has the orange wayfinder... @1:29 Snow White is on Ventus's green wayfinder & Sleeping Beauty is on Terra's orange wayfinder.. Both princesses are known to be put to sleep only to have their curse broken by their beloved princes... I've watched the opening countless times so WHY HAVE I NEVER CAUGHT THIS BEFORE?

For some reason I have a crush on Aqua

I just now realized the FORESHADOWING that this intro has. the kingdom key in the ground. ventus is running away from fire (aka light) whilst terra is running away from shadows (aka darkness) the kingdom key and the way to dawn clash into ventus station of awakening, symbolizing ventus and terras connection to sora and riku. and ventus looks like a ball of light that looks like it's entering sora.

Ventus story is kinda sad

This game is so dark especially the ending part. No good endings at all.

Cool Easter Eggs in this OP: (Spoilers!) 0:39 The middle keyblade appears to be Sora's. 1:47 You can see Aqua reflected in Ventus's eye. 2:37 The two keyblades that destroy Ventus's "Dive to the Heart" are Sora's Kingdom Key and Riku's Way to the Dawn keyblade. These foreshadow Ven and Terra's connection to Sora and Riku 2:43 The connection is emphasized when Sora's Kingdom Key is seen floating over Ventus as he falls into sleep. 3:02 Ventus becomes a falling star, and the place on the horizon that it hits is directly in front of Sora, foreshadowing that he will find refuge in Sora's heart after he falls into sleep. Showing Riku and Sora watching the star fall is also reflective of Ven, Terra, and Aqua watching the star fall at the beginning (showing that the main trio is similar to and connected to the trio from BBS).
