“They’re everywhere!” Man I still get chills
-
The mission where you are truely tasked with all the responsibilities.
-
Ramirez, the one man army
-
Sgt. Folwy: “RAMIREZ! DO EVERYTHING! THAT’S AN ORDER!”
-
I think the most scariest part about this scenario is that the invasion has given the Russian forces a reason to fight hard. After the “no Russian” mission, you would believe that the Russian people and its military would build up the fire within and show the full might of the military. Especially since the missions for the rangers is all over the east coast
-
Me 2009: The Russians could have definitely invaded America like this Me in 2022: They couldn’t have even crossed the street without running out of supplies
-
Kids nowdays would never know how it is to play a COD with a good campaing like this.
-
16:18 Did anyone see that guy kill himself with a rocket launcher?
-
Ramirez should be a four star general by now.
-
14:30 US Ranger: SOMEONE JUST TOOK OUT OUR PREDATOR, BE ADVISED THE PREDATOR IS OFFLINE I REPEAT THE PREDATOR IS OFFLINE

Im surprised that A) We didnt get a West Coast perspective mission like the San Francisco one in Homefront and B) The Russians didnt try solely invading from the West Coast, I doubt they wouldve been able to take Europe in such a short amount of time that the Russians would have complete stable access to France and the Iberian Peninsula in order to plan and successfully mount any kinda of naval invasion from the Atlantic. In the 2007 RTS game World in Conflict, its story is surprisingly realistic and plausible, and part of the story in that game to where the entire American force is pre-occupied dealing with the invasion of western Europe and that gives the Soviets enough time to invade the unguarded West Coast and take Seattle (Among other cities but theres only a mission for Seattle I believe) within a day.

I mistakenly believed enemy AI was bad in this mission but it turns out that is just what Russian soldiers are like IRL.
-
When the Russian AI Fight harder than the actual Russian military
-
24:32 dies from enemy gunshots Game: Cost of a single Tomahawk Cruise missile: $1.1 million
-
Back when people thought the Russian army was competent. 😅

I'm a local in the general area that's fictionalized in the game. So I can't help but speculate on who get's fucked other than D.C.? All of Prince George's County, in MD; northern VA cities like Alexandria and Arlington. Basically the entire DMV (what we locals refer to as DC/MD/Northern VA) are sitting ducks. Overwhelming numbers of Russian forces can be seen parachuting down into neighborhoods while a BTR is rolling down a residential street. Homes become literal battlegrounds. As you many of you said, this was surreal! I only recently had the joy of playing MW2 for the first time, and I could see why you all treasured this back in 2009. Not going to lie, I went a little deep in this game, and took this invasion a bit personal. I was like "Welcome to the East Coast" while unloading mags lol EDIT: If I had any complaints about this part of the campaign, is that it should be noted that northern Virginia does not have ANY sort emergency sirens, which can be heard in-game.

31:06 as a Ukrainian, I can confirm that this scene is pretty accurate 😂
