The 4th entry in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise is a decent return for Axel Foley and company. Because of a very weak sub-plot involving his daughter, it doesn't reach the heights of the first 2 films. There is enough good stuff here though to make it more enjoyable than the infamous 3rd film.

    I’m aware that “Axel F” is the name of the main theme. I’m simply stating my dislike of the way it sounds in the title of the movie.

    Axel F was the name of the instrumental song in the original movie. This makes the title a nostalgic call back, like the rest of the film.
