My fear is this - not that the Darkness will destroy us, but that through the Darkness we will turn into the new Hive. The horror of an eternity of humanity carving apart the universe, killing and dominating everything so that it can never potentially kill or dominate us. The true threat of the Darkness has never been what it could do to us, but what it is offering to do for us.
