I went from beginner donut tutorials, to texturing, lighting, rigging and rendering a Clicker in Blender 2.9! I cover a basic CG character workflow in Blender and go from Blender to Substance Painter to do the final texturing. This is for my The Last of Us 2 fan film that I'm breaking down on this channel! love the video - I’ve been contemplating moving to blender as well for projects like these, the software has come so far these past few years. I still can’t believe that maya doesn’t ship with a real-time render engine

What sort of behind the scenes/breakdown do you want to see next? Thanks for watching!

Same exact experience for me. I'm certainly not doing anything as advanced as this but I only ever did Maya before and I too was blown away by Blender when I started 3 weeks ago. I'm a total fan of most of it now.

The already high level of respect I have for this type of work just skyrocketed. Amazing.

I've been putting off learning blender for a long time. As a MASSIVE TLoU fan... I think I know what project to do as I begin my blender journey. This was a great video! Keep up the good work!

This is great, I like this type of content a lot! Your video gave me a couple of ideas I can use on my current project too. I'm looking forward to seeing more, it's always fun to see how people go about creating their films, especially when they focus on the whole process and not just one aspect of it.

So much hyped about these behind of the scenes series! The result is just impressive and It makes me want to start a CGI career with Blender right now. I want moooore! Do you plan to do a video about integrating this clicker in the movie? It would be very interesting.
  • 8:08 - The icing in the cake. This totally sold it. Great video! Could you do a specific 8 min video about your "post" process in Nuke, please? It was described in seconds, but I'm sure most of the views would like that extended as well. Awesome lighting, btw.

Amazing Video learning so so much Thanks for bringing this lovely series.
  • I started using Blender around the time you made this video, and I have not looked back. And just recently I started using Substance Painter because, you're right; texture painting is where Blender is really lacking. Hopefully they'll improve it, but Substance is SO GOOD.
  • Damn. Really amazing ! I'm thinking about starting with blender, but, uh, since I don't use twitter, is there some other way to get the clicker's model? Thanks again and amazing work !! (Sorry if this is outdated)
