Enjoy it, for your info, i used a mini JR tail servo and i would suggest a lite coat of epoxy on the wood standoffs that are provided for mounting the mechanics to the fusalage. The wood was not glued well on my unit as well as a friends unit. Have a great 2009 Flying season.

@donwalin Thanks for the comment, the fusalage is by Align, there are also alot of nice fusalages on Century heli products. check them out and enjoy.

@TheRCHeliPilot I used black window screen mesh for the rear windows to reduce the heat. Cut it just a 1/2 inch oversized and gluded it on with goop (plumbers glue) get at any home depot or good hardware store. Also watch your head speed. Its now going to be a scale bird and there is no need for 2200 rpm. I think i cut mine down to 80 percent across the board in idle up 2 mode.

Could you list your setup? I would love for my trex to be this smooth. You are a great pilot!

Great Video. I'm doing the same scale in a trex 450 SE V2 and i have terrible vibrations in the tail and in the skids. Did this happen to you as well? Did you have to add some inside support for the tail boom? like a foam or something like that? Thanks for your kind help and keep on going! you can see my videos of some scales done here in Venezuela.

@OutbackKanga Thanks, I like scale flying much better as well !!!

Thanks for the comment, No stabilization system. Just some good old fashion balancing. Found that i needed 7, 7 gram lead weights in front on wood structure, also read above. Have a great 2009 Flying season.
  • @TheRCHeliPilot
Sorry my friend... forgot to ask another question :) Does your speed control gets very warm? (almost overheat) due to lack of airflow? Thanks again!
  • @MrEvolutionist
@OutbackKanga yea this way u can see the heli flying haha not just a twist of helicopter in the distance

Hopfully more on the way soon, Working on 2 new projects which will most likely end up being done over the winter, Vario Bell 47GIII and New 500E. Thanks for watching and have a great 2009 flying season.
  • @33apd
