“Your car”... we don’t have one. That’s why we are watching this video. Lol Nothing about how to get a carry pack, how to carry without spilling, earnings, or anything valuable.

Started doing DoorDash/UberEats on my bike a little over a week ago. Such an awesome way to exercise and get paid to do it! I went out last night for 3 hours in crummy weather: cleared $150 for the shift.
  • I'm on a bike I get more delivery done than any car in a downtown area all you car drivers must avoid downtown areas you will have longer wait times

You rarely get orders in Miami as a DoorDash cyclist. DoorDash seems to be a money maker with people who drive. UberEATS and Postmates remain the king for people on bicycles.

I've been doing deliveries on a bike here in Oakland/SF for almost a month. On my bike, I added a rack and mounted a medium sized storage container on the rack to put the orders in. I stick mainly in the downtown area flat lands and do Ok. With DoorDash alone, I average 60 to over 100 a day. Plus with a bike, I often go down one way streets, cut through traffic easily to get to the customer and restaurants faster. The only thing is are those damn hills that can wear you out and can be time consuming so I'm going to save up and buy a 500 to 750watt e-bike and buy 1-2 extra batteries with it so I can have longer range to last me all day. I think I prefer doing this over getting a car.
  • I would not mind doing bike deliveries in the summer. Parking downtown is a nightmare I avoid.
  • Bicycle gives you health benefit + side money.I’m an avid runner and now planning to join Ubereats/Doordash bicycle delivery. It enables me to exercise while delivering (in one stone two birds).

Definitely gonna try this once I get my license! I've gone on deliveries with my folks but lately they haven't gone due to there being low business or too many miles out. Hopefully I'll have better luck!

I have a few motorized bicycles and was thinking of trying Doordash with one.

its not lime bikes, but here in portland if you recieve EBT or medicaid you get access to the biketown ebike system for free , you log on in and get a 60 minute session, which as long as your in an area you can quickly relock the ebike to a stand you can reset that for unlimited ebike rentals here at 60 minutes a session. and even if you decide to not lock it back up and just work say a 3 hour shift after that initial 60 minutes they only charge you 0.05 cents a minute (3.00 an hour) works really well in my area i live directly in the main downtown area myself so works out

Only in certain neighborhoods of NYC SFO Chicago and Seattle. A vast majority of markets it’s not even an an option. There is also the safety issue.

I do it on my E-bike downtown it so easy so busy parking is perfect free side walk parking is fine I make $350 a day in my car I wasn’t getting all these orders
  • For very populated areas an ebike is a good as it gets. I build my own ebike doing deliveries in DC. My bike could get 100 miles easy with my dual battery setup. You just Cruze around making that money while taking the pressure off your legs. Reason why I always recommend doing an ebike over a normal bike is for those longer 3 miles deliveries. As a currier, your time is critical and when it's comes on to completing trips efficiently and very fast, the ebike is just superior to a self powered bike. It also seems that customers tip more when your on a bike in general but even more so when your on an ebike because you get their food to them faster. Their are lots of YouTube videos showing how to build your own ebike. I would also take an ebike over a moped because you have little to no maintenance on an ebike. A moped has to be maintained like any other gasoline powered vehicle. The downside I see with an ebike is the initial cost of getting one suited for food delivery. It can be high. Thus i recommend building one which will cost about $600 - $1100. The higher price margin being a super long range one with dual batteries. Let me give an example: * 1500w ebike kit limited to 750w out of the box to stick with federal limits. Can be unlocked to access full power. $220 https://www.ebay.com/itm/153339255356 * 52v 20ah triangle bettery for super long range $380 https://www.ebay.com/itm/392495057615 *Assuming you already have your own bike or just buy one that can hold the triangular battery in the frame. * You can purchase a second triangular battery to switch when the first one finishes or you can purchase a rear rack battery to ride around with two batteries at all times. The first is recommended as two batteries on the bike at once will prove very heavy. So we are looking at a powerful ebike equiped with a super long range batterie for $600-1000. For comparison the cheapest Chinese moped start at about the same price but will cost more in gas as electricity is cheaper and cost more in mentainace. Overall if you are serious, you can make some serious money in the downtown city areas and have fun while doing it. The ebike cool factor is real!!!! Ride safe!!

I'm new to DD I started in my car but I added my bicycle. How do I set a limit on miles I'm willing to ride my bike? I drive in the suburbs and want to ride my bike in the city downtown.

I'm from a city called Binghamton NY, thier are alot of deliveries in the area but when I go to sign up for dinner dash thief is only the car option? Idk if i need a license, thiere no sign up option for a car. If ya try to see what areas are ok for a bike Yu get nothing on Google or anywhere. Please help with any of this!
  • I guess the same deactivation goes for people who is pretending to deliver in a car but is really delivering on a bicycle… I really hate that I can’t dash on my bike in my area… Only Downtown St. Louis 🙄…
