Pool companies charge $400 or more just to open your pool! I do it myself for about $20 - it's easy if you know a few steps. I use the least amount of chemicals & get crystal clear pool water all summer long. I also got a chance to try out the newest & most innovative pool cleaning robot called Aquasense Beatbot

Beatbot provided me with the robot shown in this video at no charge. Nothing was scripted, or required other than an honest review. And no, Beatbot sadly did not pay for this swimming pool!

Usually, your videos just result in me spending a few hundred dollars on tools or gadgets I want. But now, I want a pool. Thanks!

How about making a video about how to "close" a pool at the end of the summer pool season? To prepare the pool for winter, and for the many idle months until the following summer's pool season?

1:53 I usually put chemicals in first to kill of any algae and bacteria, then brush to let the filter absorb the remains, then I vacuum any remains. It helps that I have a sand filter that can soak up a lot of debris, my old one used to be a DE filter that would clog easily.

Being from California, the idea of "opening" a pool was so foreign to me. Our pool was always open all year. Then we moved to Columbus and I understand that pool opening season is a thing. I need to move back to California.

Bought a pool robot off Amazon last year for about $200. Works great and is far less expensive than this $1000 robot.

Snyder also installed my pool last year. Pretty happy with it so far! The whole family has been itching to get in since the temps have been anywhere from 80-90 degrees this week.

Get PoolRX! It literally reduced my pool maintenance by half. Its a mineral based algecide that you put in your pump basket, kind of like how farmers put a copper pipe in a trough to stop algae. Lasts all season.

I just keep our pool running 365 days a year. Over the winter the Hayward control panel is smart enough to keep the pump running to avoid freezing. I keep the chems balanced once a month over the winter as well. We have a salt cell chlorinating system and it produces all the chlorine we need when it's above 50F. It's never seen algae because it's always operational.
  • Can't wait for the pool installation video, I didn't think you could have concrete around such a pool which is what I want, but I've only thought about building the pool from the ground up.. I mean, not use an already made fiberglass one.. Now I've got new ideas 😋 Great video, can't wait for next one! ❤

Pool RX has been a game changer for me down here in Texas- I don’t even have to shock or use excessive chlorine tablets

Here is another excellent video with a wealth of valuable information. Thanks for sharing. Your place is beautiful!

My third season with a pool. Recently caught on to using bleach. Previously used cal-hypo, which is a bit of work and not any cheaper. Just pour slowly in the deep over a jet. This year, trying a low level of trichlor + bleach. Trichlor pushes the pH down while bleach pushes it up. Hoping to keep an easy balance with tri providing low level of chlorine and CYA with the bleach to shock and maintain. I use bleach in my hot tub too with bromine. Gotta keep the CYA in check!

The pool looks great Chris. That robot is pretty cool

Awesome video. I have a dolphin that works great. But it has a cord. I'd love a battery powered one. Thanks for the video!
