This is episode 1 of season 1 in H2O - Just add water!
Rikki Chadwick, Emma Gilbert, and Cleo Sertori are three teenage Australian girls who find themselves stranded on the mysterious Mako Island, where they end up in a pool under a dormant volcano just as a full moon passes above them, bathing the pool in light. The girls are rescued and brought back to shore, where they return to their normal lives, until discovering their lives have become anything but normal. The girls find out that ten seconds after coming into contact with water they transform into mermaids. After further experimentation, the girls also discover they have supernatural powers over water.

After a night bath in a lake, everything is different and as soon as Cleo, Emma and Rikki come in contact with water, they transform and get a mermaid tail. After further experimentation, the girls also discover they have supernatural powers over water like boiling or freezing water. They try to keep their secret from everyone else which makes their everyday life anything but simple. 🧜♀️🌊

ok I have probably watched this show 850 times by now and somehow it never gets boring. like how can a show be so freaken good. this is literally my comfort show and lets be honest we all tried to become mermaids once because of this show and maybe still want to.

I’m here rewatching this show for i don’t know how many times. This show never gets old. I think it’s considered a classic, as least for those of us who grew up watching this amazing series.

Cleo: got her powers when she wanted to control Zane (hence controling water) Emma: got her powers when she was scared of being hit by the water (frozen in fear) Rikki: Gets her powers when she is mad (fiery mad like heating the water)
